52
MAY 12, 1975
The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to
order at 8:05 P.M. by Mayor Bohjanen on May 12, 1975. Council
members present: Jaworski, McLean and Zelinka. Absent: Marier.
Mr. Locher and Mr. Gotwald were also present.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the minutes of April 22, 1975 as presented.
Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried.
Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of April 28, 1975 as presented.
Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried with Mr. Zelinka abstaining.
The minutes of the Special Meeting on May 1, 1975 were tabled for
consideration on May 27, 1975.
Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes of the Special Meeting held on
May 5, 1975. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried with Mr. Zelinka
abstaining.
Mr. Jaworski moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Review on May
1, 1975. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried with Mr. Zelinka
abstaining.
Since this special meeting on May 5, 1975 dealt with the situation of
the Special Assessments in the Jandric Project, Mr. Jaworski asked Mr.
Locher it he had done any research on the conditions with which the
$50,000.00 CD was approved?
Mr. Locher said he only has a copy of the minutes. He remembers starting an
agreement whereby the monies could be used and would have to be replaced
but he did not write the agreement because he felt that U. S. Lakes had
refused such an agreement.
Mr. Jaworski was concerned that the Resolution to use this CD was premature
since a principal payment is not due until 1977. Mr. Locher felt that
this is not premature since deliquency only gets worse and interest
compounds.
There was more discussion on this, with the subject to come up again
in Mr. Locher's report.
The Clerk read a Resolution from Columbia Heights regarding vandalism in
the parks and asking the Anoka County Juvenile Court System to require the
young people to work in the parks as part of the punishment if convicted.
After some discussion, Mr. Jaworski moved to adopt the Columbia Heights
Resolution with some modifications. Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion
carried unanimously.
The Clerk was instructed to send a copy and a letter to Columbia Heights
informing them of the Council's action.
The Clerk reported that the City had received a copy of the limited permit
granted to Mr. Dan Waldoch for the use of surface water for irrigation of
40 acres of vegetables on a seasonal basis.
1
1
1
