ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 DECEMBER 14, 2010 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />8 <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 ROLL CALL. <br />14 <br />15 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Roth, and Stille. <br />16 Absent: None. <br />17 Also Present: City Manager Mike Mornson, Assistant City Manager Kim Moore -Sykes, Finance <br />18 Director Roger Larson, Police Chief John Ohl, Fire Chief John Malenick, Public <br />19 Works Director Jay Hartman, and Liquor Operations Manager Mike Larson. <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />23 ITEMS. <br />24 <br />25 I. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 14, 2010 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />26 <br />27 Mayor Faust noted the addition of Agenda Item 6F: Resolution 10-090; Approving State of <br />28 Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement with the City of St. Anthony Village on Behalf of its Police <br />29 Department. <br />30 <br />31 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />32 Council Meeting Agenda of December 14, 2010, as amended. <br />33 <br />34 Motion carried unanimously. <br />35 <br />36 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />37 <br />38 A. Fire Prevention Poster Contest Winners. John Malenick Fire Chief presenting_ <br />39 <br />40 Fire Chief Malenick introduced the winners of the 2010 Fire Poster Contest: 1" Place — Taylor <br />41 Seim; 2"d Place — Jenna Van Sickle; 3rd Place — Erin McNamer; 41h Place — Emily Sawyer. <br />42 Mayor Faust presented the contest winners with certificates and awards. <br />43 <br />44 B. Update on Historical Society. Barry Tedlund President presenting_ <br />45 <br />46 Mr. Barry Tedlund, President of the St. Anthony Village Historical Society, provided an update <br />47 on the book sponsored by the Historical Society that is being written on the history of St. <br />48 Anthony Village. He explained that the Historical Society had hoped to have the book available <br />49 for Christmas presents; however, the completion date has been extended to February. A copy of <br />
