ANTHONY <br />2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />3 May 22, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />10 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />11 <br />12 ROLL CALL <br />13 Present: Mayor Faust, Council Members: Gray, Stille, and Thuesen <br />14 Absent: Councilmember Horst <br />15 Also Present: City Manager Mike Mornson, Finance Director Roger Larson <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />19 ITEMS <br />20 <br />21 I. APPROVAL OF THE MAY 22, 2007 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />22 <br />23 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve the City <br />24 Council meeting agenda of May 22, 2007. <br />25 <br />26 Motion carried unanimously 4/0. <br />27 <br />28 I1. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS <br />29 <br />30 A. Recognition of the St. Anthony High School Knowledge Bowl 2A State Champions. <br />31 <br />32 Mr. Tom Keith, St. Anthony High School Principle, reported the Mr. Pristish has done a brilliant <br />33 job and the team members have performed superbly. He stated the team has won three State <br />34 Knowledge Bowl championships in the last four years. He commented the students compete <br />35 against schools that are four and five times larger than St. Anthony Village High School. <br />36 <br />37 Mr. Pristish stated it was a privilege to be honored and a treat to be the Knowledge Team coach. <br />38 He thanked the local community and the school administration for their support. He commented <br />39 that the success is emblematic of the education the students receive during their tenure at the St. <br />40 Anthony School District and the motivation and support received from their parents. <br />41 <br />42 Mayor Faust presented the awards to James Benhardus, Eli Wilken - Resman, and Madeline <br />43 Severtson. Team members missing were Joe Hartmann and Antonio Backman. <br />44 <br />45 Mayor Faust presented Mr. Pristish with a certificate of appreciation and Mr. Keith with a plaque <br />46 to display at St. Anthony Village High School. He stated he found it gratifying to have made <br />47 several awards to District 282 including athletic awards to the baseball and softball teams and the <br />48 Math and Science Five Star Program Award. He commented St. Anthony Village has created a <br />49 well- rounded school, both scholastically and athletically. He informed Council and the audience <br />
