ANTHONY <br />3 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />4 July 25, 2006 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:11 p.m. <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 ROLL CALL. <br />12 Present: Mayor Faust, Council members Gray, Horst, Stille, and Thuesen. <br />13 Absent: None. <br />14 Also Present: City Manager Mike Morrison, City Attorney Jay Lindgren <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />18 ITEMS. <br />19 <br />20 I. APPROVAL OF JULY 25, 2006 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />21 <br />22 Motion by Councilmember Horst, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve the City <br />23 Council Meeting Agenda of July 25, 2006 with the addition of III -E. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried unanimously. <br />26 <br />27 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />28 A. August 1, 2006, as National Night Out <br />29 <br />30 Councilmember Thuesen read the proclamation for National Night Out occurring on Tuesday, <br />31 August 1, 2006. National Night Out provides a unique opportunity for St. Anthony to join <br />32 forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police - <br />33 community crime and drug prevention efforts. The City of St. Anthony plays a vital role in <br />34 assisting the St. Anthony Police Department through joint crime and drug prevention efforts in <br />35 St. Anthony and is supporting National Night Out 2006. It is essential all citizens of St. Anthony <br />36 be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact their participation can <br />37 have on reducing crime and drug abuse in the City of St. Anthony. Police and community <br />38 partnerships with neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important themes of the <br />39 National Night Out program. The City Council called upon citizens to join the St. Anthony <br />40 Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch in supporting the 23`d Annual <br />41 National Night Out on August 1, 2006. <br />42 <br />43 Motion by Councilmember Thuesen, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve the <br />44 proclamation for National Night Out, August 1, 2006. <br />45 <br />46 Motion carried unanimously. <br />47 <br />48 Mayor Faust encouraged everyone to call the police department and sign up for National Night <br />49 Out. <br />
