ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 11, 2019 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL CALL. <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle, and Stille. <br />City Manager Mark Casey, Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando, Ehlers <br />& Associates Representative Keith Dahl, WSB Water Resource Engineer Stephanie <br />Hatten, and GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog. <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />ITEMS. <br />I. APPROVAL OF JUNE 11, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />Council Meeting Agenda of June11, 2019 as presented. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Presentation from Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando <br />Commissioner Irene Fernando introduced herself to the City Council. She wants to make her <br />office accessible to the City of St. Anthony and she hopes the two entities can partner. Ms. <br />Fernando stated she wants to be specific on the values she holds and be transparent. Hennepin <br />County is made up of 45 cities and organized into 7 districts. She is the Chair of the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority. <br />Councilmember Stille thanked Commissioner Fernando for coming to St. Anthony and reviewed <br />the history of the relationship between the County and the City. The City has considered adding <br />turf to a ball field by applying to the Hennepin Youth Sports Program. He hopes that <br />Commissioner Fernando will champion the effort when application is made and noted there are <br />two more rounds. <br />Mayor Faust stated the City has had a long relationship with Hennepin County since the 1970's. <br />St. Anthony is located in two counties and that turns out to be a benefit.
