Maurer said <br />this is the first step needed in preparing for a public improvement and permits the <br />engineer to proceed with gathering necessary information including survey work, <br />estimated costs and proposed assessment rates. After some brief questions, <br />councilmember Hustad moved to approve resolution 99-24 in order to proceed with the <br />feasibility study. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Consideration of expanded insurance coverage for Y2K incidents <br />The council discussed the necessity of purchasing expanded insurance coverage from <br />LMCIT to cover damages from any Y2K events beyond the $25,000 cap that the city's <br />insurer now has for Y2K incidents. The insurance will cover the city up to $750,000 for <br />any incident identified as Y2K related for up to one year from 1/1/00. After brief <br />discussion, councilmember Jacobs moved to approve application for the Y2K insurance <br />as recommended by League of Minnesota Cities. <br />INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />• councilmember Jacobs announced he will be moving from the residence he has in Falcon <br />Heights on November 6, 1999 so his last official meeting will be November 3, 1999.
