Authorization to pay partial payment #6 in the amount <br />of $45,396.14 to Ramsey County for the Cleveland Avenue <br />construction <br />7. Authorization to release escrow in the amount of <br />$10,500 to Rottlund Company for Maple Knolls Courtyard <br />landscaping and street overlay <br />8. Acceptance of $5,000 grant from North Suburban Cable <br />Commission for audio/visual improvements <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT TO REQUEST LIONS CLUB CONTRIBUTION TOWARD FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE <br />Council considered a request from Firefighters Greg Fuller and <br />Gregg Peterson to ask for a donation of $100.00 from the Lions <br />Club to purchase t-shirts for the open house. Council granted <br />the request by unanimous consent. <br />GIBBON TALBOT ARRIVES <br />Gibson Tablot arrived at 7:10 p.m <br />PRESENTATION OF AWARD TO LEO LINDIG <br />Baldwin presented a plaque to former Fire Chief Leo Lindig as a <br />token of appreciation for his six years serving as chief of the <br />volunteer fire department. <br />CITY TO ADMINISTRATIVELY ASSIST U OF M IN RECONSTRUCTING SIDEWALK <br />ON LOT A IN UNIVERSITY GROVE AREA <br />Hoyt explained that at the hearing on the 1993 street project a <br />resident suggested that the city determine if the university <br />would be interested in reconstructing the sidewalk on Lot A which <br />provides a public walkway for residents of University Grove, St. <br />Anthony Park and Lauderdale. The university is interested in the <br />reconstruction and will fund the project. The city would <br />participate only by arranging to have the replacement done as an <br />add-on to the 1993 improvement project. Council indicated <br />approval by unanimous consent. <br />AUDIO/VISUAL EQUIPMENT TO BE PURCHASED FOR COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />Kelly presented the two quotes received for the audio/video <br />equipment which will replace the present old obsolete equipment. <br />He explained that video consultant Bill Bruce has recommended <br />accepting the quote from Video Alpha in the amount of $17,587.00 <br />subject to the following contingencies: 1) that all microphones <br />
