Page 3
Council Minutes
December 21, 1994
~.
asked whether anyone was waiting for this ordinance and Administrator Hoyt said no
inquiries have been made up to this time. Councilmember Gehrz and Councilmember
Hustad expressed a concern that the process be thorough and complete. Both
expressed an interest in extending the deadline to better accommodate a delay(s) if
it occurred. After a short discussion, Councilmember Hustad moved that the
extension be made until September 30, 1995 and motion passed unanimously.
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ST. ANTHONY POLICE OFFICERS
WITH THE AUTHORITY TO ACT AS POLICE OFFICERS
FOR THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS
C
The city council must authorize the City of St. Anthony police department to serve as
the policing agency for Falcon Heights. This change will take place at 12:01 A.M. on
January 1, 1995. Councilmember Jacobs moved to approve R-94-30 designating St.
Anthony police officers with the authority to act as police officers for the City of
Falcon Heights and motion passed unanimously.
CITY INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
• Hoyt said ice rinks had been almost to the point of opening but weather
warmed up so rinks are on hold until winter returns!
• Snowplowing procedures seemed to improve with the last snowfall so hopefully
it will continue.
Councilmember Gibson Talbot arrived at 7:20 p.m.
RESOLUTION R-94-27 ADOPTING THE 1995
BUDGET AND CERTIFYING THE 1995 PROPERTY TAX LEVY

The truth-in-taxation hearing on the proposed 1995 budget was held on December 7,
1994. At this time a resolution adopting the budget and certifying the 1995 property
tax levy is necessary. This action finalizes the city's budget process for 1995 and
directs the county to levy the associated property taxes. Councilmember Gibson
Talbot moved to adopt R-94-27 authorizing a city operating budget of 51,094,473 for
1995 and a certified tax levy of 5520,867. Motion carried unanimously.
