MINUTES ~~ <br />NOVEMBER 27, 1991 <br />PAGE 2 <br />PRESENTATION BY ROSEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REGARDING PROPOSED <br />POLICING CONTRACT WITH LAUDERDALE AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION <br />R-91-52 <br />Chief James Zelinsky explained that the City of Lauderdale has <br />indicated they wish to contract with the City of Roseville for <br />policing service for 1992 and Roseville would like Falcon Heights <br />to adopt a resolution showing support of the contract. Deputy <br />Chief Tom Alleva presented information on the number of calls <br />presently covered, anticipated increase with the addition of <br />Lauderdale, the proposed service zone changes to include <br />Lauderdale, and the fact that including Lauderdale will decrease <br />the per capita policing cost to the cities. <br />Following the discussion Wallin moved adoption of Resolution <br />R-91-52 which carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-91-52 <br />A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE LAUDERDALE/ROSEVILLE <br />POLICE CONTRACT <br />ADOPTION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN <br />Ciernia reviewed the procedure followed in drafting the plan and <br />explained that the Planning Commission held a public hearing on <br />the Plan on November 20, 1991 and has recommended its adoption. <br />Gehrz moved adoption of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan revision <br />and authorization for staff to submit the Plan to Metropolitan <br />Council for review. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE 0-91-13 <br />Hoyt explained that the Planning Commission held a public hearing <br />on Proposed Ordinance 0-91-13 on November 20, 1991 which would <br />simplify the procedure for construction of utility buildings by <br />removing the requirement for a permitted accessory use permit and <br />requiring a building permit only. Following a brief discussion <br />Jacobs moved adoption of Ordinance 0-91-13 as recommended by the <br />Planning Commission. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE 0-91-13 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING §9-2.04[1](1) and §9-4.01[3J(i) OF THE <br />CITY CODE RELATING TO DETACHED UTILITY STRUCTURES <br />APPROVAL OF BID FOR NEW FIRE TRUCK <br />Hoyt explained that the city received bids for a fire truck with <br />a 65' ladder/water tower device from Clarey Equipment <br />
