MINUTES SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING FEBRUARY 29, 1984 PAGE 4 more productive, the possibility of offering the property for sale to Bullseye Golf and others in order that they might enlarge their develop- ment, or simply putting it up for sale. Concern for the loss of employ- ment of the store employees was considered and, also, the possibility that laws will be changed allowing the sale of wine in grocery stores, which would have an adverse effect on liquor stores. Following the discussion, Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the Mayor, Clerk Administrator and Attorney, be authorized to contact Bullseye Golf regarding a possible sale to that organization. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Administrator Barnes recommended that Council consider drafting an agreement with Bullseye Golf for consulting fee charges in view of the fact that they have already used the services of the City Planner. Following a discussion, Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that the City Attorney be directed to draft such an agreement. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Baldwin reported that he had attended a meeting of the Job Corps Advisory Group and that the concerns are the same as five years ago. He gave a brief update on the activities at the Job Corps Center. Councilmember Baldwin informed Council that the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau is requesting a 10 percent increase in funding for the year 1985, the first increase in four years. The matter will be discussed by Council at budget time. Mayor Eggert announced that the 1984 Legislative Action Conference will be held March 13 and 14, 1984 at the St. Paul Radisson and asked interested Councilmembers to make reservations. Mayor Eggert informed that he had discussed the proposed low cost housing for a portion of the Hawkins property with each Council- member. He felt the consultant pursuing the matter should be told that there is not much enthusiasm for-this particular project, and Council concurred. Mayor Eggert will contact the consultant, Thomas Nutting, and advise him of the decision. Councilmember Hard requested that the membership fee for the Ramsey County League be obtained and presented at the next meeting. Councilmember Chestovich stated that the February 28, 1984 meeting for business persons was attended by three business persons, but she would like to continue trying to increase attendance.
