MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING ~.~ <br />APRIL 11, 1984 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Councilmember Hard, that Ordinance ~~204 be adopted and that the Clerk <br />Administrator be authorized to publish the same. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 204 <br />AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE N0. 193 ORDINANCE <br />RELATING TO CABLE COMMUNICATIONS N0. 204 <br />Council considered a request from Ann McKay, 1907 W. Larpenteur, that SANITARY <br />a sanitary sewer penalty be excused. Due to the fact that the penalty SEWER PENALTY <br />occurred as a result of an error made by the Postal Service, Council- EXCUSED, <br />member Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the penalty be 1907 W. <br />excused. Motion carried unanimously. LARPENTEUR <br />Attorney Gasteazoro explained that she has contacted the City's AMBULANCE <br />insurance carrier and the current policy does not provide malpractice INSURANCE <br />coverage for the ambulance personnel. Council directed the Clerk <br />Administrator to check on available insurance and report back at <br />the April 25th meeting with prices and recommendations. <br />Attorney Gasteazoro reported that in a conversation with Commander <br />Spencer of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department he informed her COMMUNICAT- <br />that the City does not pay into the County's Capital Improvement IONS <br />Fund and therefore there are no funds available to cover the cost SYSTEM <br />of the fire communications system. Following a discussion, Council- <br />member Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that the <br />Fire Department be informed that the City agrees to pay its share, <br />the share to be determined on a pro-rated population basis (as <br />provided in the Sheriff's contract). Motion carried unanimously. <br />It was also suggested that at the time the 1985 contract is <br />negotiated, an attempt be made to fund for items such as the <br />communications system. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that CONTRACT <br />the Mayor and Clerk Administrator be authorized to sign the contract WITH MAPSI <br />with Minnesota Animal Patrol Service, Inc. Motion carried unani- TO BE <br />mously. SIGNED <br />After a short discussion, Councilmember Baldwin moved, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hard, that Resolution 84-12 be adopted. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 84-12 RESOLUTION <br />84-12 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A JOINT PURCHASING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ST. PAUL <br />Council briefly discussed the proposed Joint and Cooperative Agreement PUBLIC WORKS <br />for use of Personnel and Equipment (Public Works Mutual Aid) and MUTUAL AID <br />deferred the matter to the April 25th meeting in order that the Clerk DEFERRED TO <br />Administrator may be in attendance. All information pertaining to the 4/25/84 <br />matter will be provided to each Councilmember prior to the meeting. <br />Engineer Schunicht presented and explained his written report dated OVERFLOW <br />April 10, 1984, in regard to the lake overflow meeting on March 29, 1984.
