Upon a SEWER <br />vote being taken, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Eggert, (cont.) <br />Councilmembers Hard and Chestovich, and the following voted against the <br />same: Councilmembers Ciernia and Baldwin. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Eggert presented a request from Warren E. Elert, owner of the REQUEST FROM <br />apartment building at 1510 W. Larpenteur, for reimbursement for the W. ELERT, <br />cost of sewer clean out, and explained that. he had discussed the FOR REIMBURS- <br />matter with Maintenance Foreman Vince Wright. Mr. Wright had stated EMENT FOR <br />that in checking the main line nothing was found obstructing the CLEANING <br />line which would cause back-up and that each time the Maintenance SEWER LINE <br />Department was called regarding the matter they responded within AT 1510 W. <br />a couple of hours. Following the discussion, Councilmember Chestovich LARPENTEUR <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the request be denied. DENIED <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Attorney Van de North explained the need for the 'hold harmless' <br />agreement between V. Elving Anderson, 1775 Fairview and the City <br />in regard to the 'no build' restriction on the rear of the Anderson <br />lot and presented proposed Resolution 84-15 and the agreement for <br />Council considerafiion. Following a short discussion, Mayor Eggert <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that Resolution 84-15 <br />be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 84-15 RESOLUTION <br />84-15 <br />A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />A DWELLING IN A "NO BUILD" AREA <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that the "HOLD HARM- <br />Mayor and Clerk Administrator be authorized to sign the 'hold harm- LESS"AGREE- <br />less' agreement between Mr. and Mrs. Anderson and the City. Motion MENT TO BE <br />carried unanimously. SIGNED <br />Council discussed at length the problem of the hedges on Lindig <br />which have grown on the boulevard and under the street. William LINDIG <br />Cunningham, 1764 Lindig, stated he did not want his hedge to be a HEDGES <br />hazard or impede snow plowing and he was willing to trim them back. <br />He then presented a petition from his neighbors requesting that the <br />hedges not be removed. John Strait, 1763 Fairview, stated he did <br />not trim his hedges this spring and that he felt there was no problem <br />with stockpiling of snow as the County stockpiles the snow on the <br />other side of the street as a convenience to several elderly residents. <br />He felt there was no real hazard but was willing to trim his hedges <br />back. Following the discussion, Council agreed that the City would <br />not remove the hedges if the homeowners will trim their hedges <br />similar to Mr. Cunningham's, subject to approval by the City Engineer. <br />The hedges must be trimmed within 30 days. <br />Fiscal Consultant Steve Apfelbacher presented the bids on the sale BID OPENING <br />of $1,075,000 General Obligation Tax Increment Bonds of 1984 as AT 7:30 P.M. <br />follows: Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company, ON $1,075,000 <br />8.620124%, Norwest Securities, 8.36709%, Merrill, Lynch, White, G.O.
