<br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
<br />JULY 11, 1984
<br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order at
<br />7:00 P.M. by Acting Mayor Chestovich.
<br />Acting Mayor Chestovich, Councilmembers Ciernia, Baldwin, and Hard. Also
<br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Gasteazoro, Engineer
<br />Schunicht and Fiscal Consultants Apfelbacher and Chenoweth.
<br />Mayor Eggert.
<br />Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the
<br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously.

<br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the
<br />Minutes of June 27, 1984 be approved as presented. Motion carried
<br />unanimously.

<br />Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the ADDENDUM TO
<br />following item be added to the agenda: Authorize City Attorney to Contact AGENDA
<br />the Bonding Company for Westlun.d Construction. to Take Over Completion of
<br />City Hall Project. P~lotion carried unaniT~:~ously.
<br />Wayne Groff, Edina Realt;r, re»resenting Janet B. Otis, 1757 Fairview Ave.,
<br />presented a request to subdivide her n_ro»erty 'in order that the parcel
<br />on Lindig may be sold. :.ouncilriember Hard moved, seconded by Council-
<br />member Ciernia, that the request be reierr~d to the Planning Commission,
<br />that a public hearing on the subdivision be set for August ~, 1984
<br />at 7:15 P.M., and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized to publish
<br />the hearing notice. Motion carried unanimously.
<br />Roger A. Pearson, 1526 Crawford, was in attendance requesting a con-
<br />ditional use permit to construct a metal utility shed on his property.
<br />Following a short discussion, Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by
<br />Councilmember Baldwin, that the request be granted as recommended by
<br />the Planning Commission. Motion carried unanimously.
<br />Acting Mayor Chestovich opened for discussion the problem on parking
<br />near the driveways at Falcon Heights Learing Center (deferred from
<br />the last meeting). Karolyn Kingsbury, Program Coordinator for the
<br />Learning Center, said she had no objection to posting "No Parking
<br />Here to Driveway", but requested that the posting be in place only
<br />during the summer months. Following the discussion, it was determined
<br />that the problem occurs mostly late afternoon and evening when special
<br />events are scheduled at the Center. Councilmember Ciernia moved,
<br />seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that "No Parking Here to Driveway,
<br />4:00 to 10:00 P.M." be installed in the area. Motion carried unanimously.
