MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 11, 1984 <br />PAGE 5 <br />a separate agreement in which Bullseye would be responsible for condem- <br />nation and relocation-costs (perhaps a letter of credit) regardless of <br />whether or not relocation occurs. <br />Park and Recreation recommendations were deferred to July 25th meeting. <br />Councilmember Ciernia informed that some residents of District 10 in <br />St. Paul are concerned about the development of the southeast corner of <br />Larpenteur and Snelling and would like to observe the Redevelopment <br />Committee's work. Council directed the Clerk Administrator to write the <br />District 10 Council and invite them to come as observers. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that the annual fire contract <br />with Lauderdale is to be renewed and in checking he found that the cost <br />of inspections had never been increased since the inception of the contract, <br />and since Fire Department salaries have increased considerably, it would <br />be wise to increase the charge from $1,300 to $1,600 per year. Acting <br />Mayor Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the charge <br />for annual fire inspections be increased to $1,600 per year. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Acting Mayor Chestovich reminded that the newsletter will be assembled on <br />July 14th. <br />Councilmember Hard informed-that he had met with former .Deputy Bill Neilsen <br />wtn indicated he could save the City money by organizing a police department <br />for the City. However, after checking costs of policing in other <br />communities (data provided by the League of rSinnesota Cities) he determined <br />that the costs are exhorbitant. <br /> <br />BULLSEYE <br />(cont.) <br />PARK & REC. <br />DEFERRED <br />DISTRICT 10 <br />ST.
