MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 27, 1985 <br />PAGE 5 <br />Councilmember Chenoweth requested that any articles for the April news- <br />letter be made available by April 10, 1985. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented bids for repair of the tennis courts TENNIS COURT <br />as follows: Shifskys $2,735 and Buck's Blacktopping $2,976. Council- REPAIR BID <br />member Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert that the bid be awarded AWARDED TO <br />to Shifskys. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Administrator Barnes SHIFSKYS <br />will obtain prices on repair of the blacktop at the Idaho/Snelling <br />Playground. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes explained that Northern States Power will not <br />install a light on the defense siren pole as it is a private pole. <br />n <br />~~ <br /> <br />The matter of office automation was deferred until April 10, 1985. <br />Attorney Gasteazoro explained that due to a State Statute adopted in 1982, <br />it is now necessary to hold a public hearing and record all conditional uses <br />granted. Other communities have reduced the length of the number of con- <br />ditional uses in the zoning code in order that minor matters need not be <br />delayed by a public hearing. Due to the change in the law, it is necessary <br />to hold public hearings on conditional uses granted since the law went <br />into affect, such as the Delange Dancers Studio permit. Mayor Eggert <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that a public hearing on the <br />conditional use request from Delange Dancers Studio, 1899 W. Larpenteur, <br />be scheduled for April 24, 1985. at 8:30 P.M. and authorized publication <br />of the same. Motion carried unanimously. Ms. Gasteazoro will contact Ms. <br />Delange and inform her of the problem. <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the meeting be <br />extended not to exceed 10:40 P.M. Clerk RECOMMEND <br />Administrator Barnes will review portions of the code relating to CHANGES RE: <br />conditional uses and make recommendations for changes to simplify the CONDITIONAL <br />procedure. USES <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the Roseville <br />Area Bantam Hockey Team be commended for placing third in the State <br />V.F.W. Hockey Tournament, and that a certificate be prepared indicating <br />commendation. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor Eggert, that the meeting <br />be adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
