MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 14, 1985 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Mrs. Behrens, 1816 Tatum, questioned where the water will run now that <br />the two homes are at the end of the Lindig cul-de-sac, was concerned <br />about run off water, and mainenance of the swale She was also informed <br />that this was a matter for the Engineer and should make arrangement for <br />a meeting. Mrs. Behrens then commented on the fact that the City <br />Engineer had promised. her in June that he would write a letter relating <br />to the drainage, and to date it has not been received. Clerk Administra- <br />tor Barnes stated he had talked to the Engineer and he assured a letter <br />would be mailed August 15th. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed that Northwestern Bell was prepared <br />to install wiring for lighting the sign. at the entrance to City Hall <br />at a cost of approximately $2,000 at the time they install the utility <br />cabinet in the area. However, the bids were in the $4,000 range and <br />they had requested the City participate in the cost. The Clerk <br />Administrator explained that after the item was placed on the agenda, he <br />had been. informed by Engineer Brad Lemberg that a wire can be run from <br />the parking lot rather than running new conduit, and new bids will now <br />be obtained. <br />1 <br />Councilmember Ciernia asked that the matter <br />proposed School District election districts <br />1985, meeting. <br />i~ti <br />BEHRENS, <br />1816 TATUM, <br />DRAINAGE <br />QUESTIONS & <br />REQUEST FOR <br />LETTER FROM <br />ENGINEER. <br />LIGHTING OF <br />SIGN AT <br />ENTRANCE OF <br />CITY HALL <br />of the resolution opposing the RESOLUTION <br />be deferred to the August 28, ON SCHOOL <br />ELECTION <br />DISTRICTS <br />DEFERRED <br />Attorney Van de North presented and reviewed a proposed resolution <br />amending the portion of the Code relating to clarification of issuing <br />business licenses by specific address. Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by <br />Councilmember Baldwin, that Ordinance ~~085-12 be adopted. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 085-12 <br />AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO CLARIFY ADDRESS- <br />SPECIFIC NATURE OF BUSINESS LICENSES <br />Mayor Eggert presented a letter dated July 26, 1985, from Kraus-Anderson <br />Construction Co. requesting a partial Certificate of Occupancy for the <br />Bullseye Golf building for approximately August 5, 1985. Attorney <br />Van de North explained that the City will not release its right to <br />the property unless certain conditions are met as outlined in Mayor <br />Eggert's letter of December 19, 1984, and the development agreement, <br />even though the Uniform Building Code states that a partial certificate <br />may be issued under certain conditions. Council discussed the many <br />incomplete items which could be hazardous, such as parking, lighting, <br />sprinkler system, etc., <br />Mayor Eggert explained that a number of City Attorneys have raised <br />questions regarding the Community Development Block Grant Program <br />Joint Cooperation Agreement, and after reviewing the information <br />felt that Council should investigate the matter further.
