<br />[] <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 28, 1985 <br />PAGE 5 <br />to reach the 200,000 population required for Ramsey County to qualify. <br />Attorney Van de North explained that the portion of the agreement in <br />question stipulates that if a project were to be begun in Falcon Heights, <br />and a Falcon Heights employee was involved in the project and acted <br />negligently the County would indemnify the City, and the City would <br />indemnify the County if a County employee were negligent. He stated it <br />is a standard type of agreement used when two governmental units are <br />involved and he did not feel it troublesome. <br />Ms. Karon then commented on Ramsey County Resolution 85-536 stating <br />that the County has no intent to implement any project with Block <br />Gran' funds without the approval of the governing body of the <br />municipality in which it is located. Council took no action as <br />the agreement had been approved at the July 24, 1985 meeting. <br />1.03 <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented a letter from Hilding G. Peterson, TREE REIMB- <br />1403 West Idaho, requesting partial reimbursement for two boulevard URSEMENT <br />trees he planted at a cost of $78.76. Following a short discussion, HILDING <br />Acting Mayor Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that Mr. PETERSON, <br />Peterson be reimbursed in the amount of $40.00. Motion carried 1403 IDAHO <br />unanimously. <br />Council discussed and approved Acting Mayor Hard's memorandum to MEMO TO <br />the Roseville School Board regarding considerations for the selection SCHOOL <br />of a superintendent. BOARD <br />Councilmember Ciernia presented proposed Resolution R-85-52 and moved <br />its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Chenoweth <br />and upon a vote being taken,. carried unanimously,. <br />RESOLUTION R-85-52 RESOLUTION <br />R-85-52 <br />A RESOLUTION STATING THE CITY COUNCIL'S OPPOSITION TO <br />THE PROPOSED PARTITIONING OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT N0. 623 FOR VOTING <br /> <br />Councilmember Chenoweth informed Council that Fire Chief Renchin has BUDGET <br />requested a budget workshop and that such a meeting be scheduled. WORKSHIP <br />Following a short discussion, Councilmember Chenoweth was directed WITH FIRE <br />to ask Chief Renchin if his group could meet with Council for a DEPT. 7:00 <br />workship at 7:00 P.M. September 3, 1985 prior to the regularly scheduled P.M., SEPT. <br />Fire business meeting. 3, 1985 <br />Attorney Van de North commented on the request from Bullseye Golf for BULLSEYE <br />a partial certificate of occupancy and informed Council that the sprinkler REQUEST <br />system was inspected and passed. Council discussed the possible hazards FOR PARTIAL <br />involved if the occupancy certificate is issued at this time, in particular CERTIFICATE <br />construction requiring the use of heavy equipment. Attorney Van de North OF OCCUPANCY <br />stated that there might be a Clain against the City if someone were injured DISCUSSED <br />by construction after the occupancy certificate is issued. Following the <br />discussion, Council determined that the following items must be completed <br />prior to considering issued of the certificate, and that the Clerk Administrator <br />and Building Inspector are to determine when completion is satisfactory: <br />
