MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 25, 1985 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Eggert. <br />Mayor Eggert, Councilmembers Ciernia, Chenoweth, Baldwin, and Hard. Also PRESENT <br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnes, and Engineer Schunicht. <br />None. ABSENT <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the Consent CONSENT <br />Agenda be approved. Motion carried unanimously. AGENDA <br /> APPROVED <br />1. Cancel Check 417990 Issued to Marianne Kelley on 5/22/85 in <br />the amount of $12.00 and Re-issue <br /> MUNUTES OF <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Baldwin, that 9/11/85 <br />the Minutes of September 11, 1985 be approved as presented. Motion APPROVED <br />carried unanimously. <br /> MINUTES OF <br />Mayor Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Hard, that the Minutes 9/25/85 <br />of September 16, 1985 be approved as presented. Motion carried APPROVED <br />unanimously. <br />Councilmember Hard moved, seconded by Councilmember Chenoweth, authorization AGREEMENT <br />of the Mayor and Clerk Administrator to enter into an easement agreement WITH NW <br />with Northwestern Bell at a price of $2,000.00. Motion carried unanimously. BELL-$2,000 <br />Brian Eck, a student who is just finishing his studies at the University <br />of Minnesota in political science and who will be returning to the <br />University in approximately a year to earn his Masters Degree in public <br />administration, would like to obtain experience working with City <br />government from a practical standpoint. He proposed working in the <br />City of Falcon Heights on a part-time basis when needed. Clerk <br />Administrator Barnes stated that Mr. Eck could obtain a lot of practical <br />experience because the City "wears many hats". Mayor Eggert felt the <br />City would have to define some objectives and define also the necessity <br />as well as what actually would be done. Councilmember Baldwin suggested <br />the Clerk Administrator contact MACI and the League of Minnesota Cities <br />to determine if grants would be available. Councilmember Hard suggested <br />Mr. Eck contact the University to determine if the work done with the City <br />could be applied toward his Master's Degree and also that Mr. Eck be <br />reimbursed his credit costs. Councilmember Ciernia personally applauded <br />Mr. Eck's initiative and suggested areas in which he could obtain practical <br />BRIAN <br />ECK, STUDENT <br />TO WORK WITH <br />CLERK ADMIN. <br />
