MINUTES {{ ~ <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING - _f.~i <br />FEBRUARY 11, 1981 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a letter from Talley Educational Services, JOB CORPS <br />Inc. of Seattle Washington (the firm which will operate the Minnesota UPDATE <br />Job Corps Center) requesting that a representative from Falcon Heights <br />be appointed to the Job Corps Community Advisory Council. Mayor <br />Warkentien will contact John Labalestra and request that he consider <br />being the representative from Falcon Heights. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented an invitation to participate in the Callaghan <br />and MondaleForums on February 26, 1981 and February 17, 1981. CALLAGHAN - <br />MONDALE <br />FORUMS <br />Mayor Warkentien announced that the National League of Cities Congress- <br />ional-City Conference will be held February 28, 1981 through March 3, NATIONAL <br />1981 in Washington, D.C. and inquired if any Councilmembers were LEAGUE OF <br />interested in attending. None were able to attend. CITIES CONE. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes noted the M.S.A. Fund Report for 1981 as MSA FUND <br />follows: REPORT <br />Maintenance Account$3,600 for Streets <br />Construction Account $52,038 <br />Mr. Barnes explained that after the cost of upgrading Roselawn Avenue <br />there will be a balance of $9,500 in the account. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reviewed proposed bills which were listed PROPOSED <br />in the 1981 Proposed Legislation Bulletln_~~2.: LEGISLATION <br />REVIEW <br />During Councilmember Eggert's update on Cable TV he requested that all <br />Councilmembers study the information which was provided regarding Cable CABLE TV <br />TV ownership options in order that the matter may be discussed at the UPDATE <br />February 25, 1981 meeting. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed that all communities involved in the LAKE COMO <br />Lake Como overflow problem have responded negatively to St. Paul's OVERFLOW <br />proposals for funding. PROBLEM <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 10:17 p.m. <br />/ ~ i <br />Willis C. A.
