MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 27, 1981 <br />PAGE 5 <br />;~e <br />portion of the Rose Hill Nursery property and was informed that they CITY HALL <br />wish to sell the property as a complete parcel. Mayor Warkentien stated DISCUSSION <br />that he felt the only alterative left would be to authorize the attorney (cont.) <br />to review the possibility of beginning condemnation proceedings against <br />the Moder property and the southern end of the Rose Hill property. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the meet- MEETING <br />ing be extended until 11:20 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. EXTENDID TO <br />11:30 P.PI. <br />Attorney Allen then gave a summary of the condemnation proceedings. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a request from Paul Ciernia, Chairman of HUMAN RIGHTS <br />the Human Rights Commission, requesting authorization to expend funds TO SEND 2 <br />for the purpose of sending 2 Commission members to the Minnesota State MEMBERS TO <br />Human Rights Convention (cost of registration is $25.00 per person). MN STATE HUMA <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the RIGHTS <br />request be granted. Motion carried unanimously. CONVENTION <br />Attorney Allen informed Council that he had received a request from RAFFLE <br />the Dairy Goat Association-that the City adopt a raffle ordinance in ORDINANCE TO <br />order that the group could hold a raffle on the University of Minnesota BE DRAFTED <br />Campus. Council authorized the Attorney to draft such a document for <br />Council's consideration. <br />Y <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, sec©nded by Mayor Warkentien, that "thank THANKS TO <br />you" letters be written to Senator Neil Dieterich and Representive f DIETERICH & <br />Walter Hanson for their efforts,in support of the Admissions/Amuse-' HANSON <br />went Tax Bill. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmemher Eggert, that ADJOURNMENT <br />the meeting be adjourned at 11:15 p.m. Motion arried unanimo <br />i" I <br />Willis C.
