MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 26, 1981 <br />L~ <br />1 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Eggert and Larson. Also present <br />were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Councilmember Brown. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the Consent <br />Agenda be approved as presented. Snelling <br />St. Paul, MN 55104 <br />$ 4,787.51 <br />$ 2,468.68 <br />$18,125.23 <br />$13,772.78 <br />1981 <br />.~ <br />PRESENT <br />ABSENT <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />APPROVED <br />The following new business was added to the agenda: (1) Posting of "No NEW BUSINESS <br />Parking" on the south side of Garden Ave. during the Fair, (2) Patrick AS ADDED TO <br />Clarkin request for a Peddler's License, (3) Acceptance of $200.00 donat- AGENDA <br />ion from Bonestroo and Associates, and (4) Request that the Clerk Admini- <br />strator be authorized to negotiate for sale of the present City Hall <br />property. <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele, that the <br />Minutes of August 12, 1981 be approved with the addition of comments on <br />the new city facility discussion, the addition to be presented to Council <br />at the September 9th meeting for approval. Upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele <br />and Eggert, and the following voted against the same: None. Councilmember <br />Larson abstained. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a request from Fire Chief Renchin to sell 7 <br />four channel scanner radios for which the department has no`further use. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the re- <br />quest be granted. Motion carried unanimously; <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Aepartment has indicated they will refuse to tow illegally parked vehicles <br />during the fair, except under certain circumstances. Council concurred that <br />if vehicles arQ Barked 3.].1ega11y they should be tagged and towed. Council- <br />member Steele requested to see the City Ordinance (170) governing the tag- <br />ging and towing of vehicles and upon reviewing the ordinance moved that <br />the Clerk Administrator be authorized to write a letter to the Sheriff <br />stipulating that Ordinance 170, Section Sb, Subdivisions 4 and 6c must <br />be enforced.
