MINUTES REGULAR CITX COUNCIL MEETING ~'}' AUGUST 26, 19$1 PAGE 3 Clerk Administrator Barnes inquired as to whether or not Council wished CITY HALL to adopt Resolution 81-11 (Invitation to Negotiate) and if so authorize UPDATE him to publish the "Invitation to Negotiate" for the sale of the present city hall property provided an agreement is reached for purchase of a new site. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that Resolution 81-11 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION 81-11 RESOLUTION 81-11 INVITATION TO NEGOTIATE Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the CLERK-ADM. Clerk Administrator be authorized to publish the "Invitation to TO PUBLISH Negotiate" at such time as any agreement is reached for purchase of INVITATION 7 a new site. Motion carried unanimously. NEGOTIATE WHEN NECESS- Engineer Lemberg informed that there is a meeting scheduled for August ARY 27, 1981, 2:30 p.m. on the subject of the lake overflow problem. He OVERFLOW and Clerk Administrator Barnes will attend the meeting and report back MEETING to Council. 8/27/81 Engineer Lemberg also informed that the study on the Liquor Store LIQUOR STORE renovation is being prepared and will be presented to Council at the RENOVATION September 9, 1981 meeting. STUDY BEING Mayor Warkentien informed that John Labalestra is unable to accept the PREPARID appointment to the Community Relations Council of the Job Corps as had ~, been discussed and approved previously. Mr. Labalestra suggested James' JAMES MCGUIR McGuire, 1529 W. Iowa as a possible candidate for the appointment and APPOINTED TC upon being contacted by Mayor Warkentien, Mr. McGuire indicated he would COMMUNITY be willing to accept the appointment. Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded RELATIONS by Councilmember Steele, that the appointment of 3ames McGuire to the COUNCIL OF Community Relations Council of the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps be approved. JOB CORPS Motion carried unanimously. Clerk Administrator Barnes presented the proposed 1982 Budget for Council's reviewal prior to the budget discussion to be held at the September 9, 1981 meeting. The Clerk Administrator recommended that Council consider not increasing above the 1981 levy limit.
