MINUTES ~ '~~ <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 9, 1981 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />' at 7:30 p.m, by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert and Larson. Also present were PRESENT <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Kenefick and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Councilmembers Steele and Brown. ABSENT <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the CONSENT <br />Consent agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. AGENDA <br />APPROVID <br />1. Rescue Reports ~6R-07081 and ~~R-07181 <br />2. General Payroll 8/16/81 - 8/31/81 $ 4,591.14 <br />3. Liquor Payroll 8/16/81 - 8/31/81 $ 2,800.32 <br />4. General Disbursements 8/27/81 - 9/9/81 $27,717.90 <br />5. Liquor Disbursements 8/25/81 - 9/4/81 $24,526.26 <br />6. License: <br />Master Gas Installer's License ~t410 <br />Korth Heating and Air Conditioning <br />3096 North Rice St. <br />St. Paul, MN <br />The following new business was added to the agenda: (1) City Hall dis- NEW BUSINESS <br />cussion, (2) "Thank you" to Job Corps Center, and (3) League of Minnesota ADDED TO <br />Municipalities Regional Meeting. AGENDA <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the MINUTES OF <br />Minutes of August 26, 1981 be approved as written. Motion carried unani- 8/26/81 <br />mously. APPROVED <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a letter from Ruth E. Nier, 2279 W. Hoyt, $1.00 LATE <br />requesting cancellation of the $1.00 sewer Late charge. In view of the PENALTY <br />fact that Mrs. Nier has a record of early payments and she indicated CANCELLED <br />that the check for the period from Arpil to June, 1981 was mailed on R. NIER, <br />July 2, 1981 Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, 2279 W. HOYT <br />that the penalty be cancelled. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that Fire J. CHENOWETH <br />Department applicant James C. Chenoweth, 1426 W. Larpenteur, be approved APPROVED AS <br />subject to the required physical and the one year probation period. FIREFIGHTER <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The Fire Department By-laws discussion was deferred until the next F.D. BY-LAWS <br />meeting. DEFERRED <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the 10/14/81 <br />Regular City Council Meeting scheduled for October 14, 1981 be can- MEETING CAN- <br />celled and that a Special Meeting be held October 7, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. CELLED-SPEC L4 <br />Motion carried unanimously. MEETING TO <br />BE HELD <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the 10/7/81 <br />Assessment Hearing on the University Grove Street Lighting Repair be <br />held at 8:00 p.m. on October 7, 1981 and that the Clerk Administrator GROVE STREET <br />be authorized to publish the Notice of Hearing. Motion carried unani- LIGHTING <br />mously. HEARING TO BE <br />HELD 10/7/81 <br />
