MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ~~ <br />NOVEMBER 19, 1981 <br />1 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, and Larson. Also present PRESENT <br />were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Allen and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Councilmember Eggert. Councilmember Steele arrived later. ABSENT <br />The only item of new business added to the agenda was the proposed NEW BUSINESS <br />"no parking" signs on Fairview Avenue. ADDED TO <br />AGENDA <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. CONSENT AGEN~~ <br />APPROVED <br />1. Rescue Reports ~~R-08381 - ~~$-08781 <br />2. Fire Report ~6F-02581 <br />3. Lauderdale Fire Report ~~1-01581 <br />4. General Payroll 11/1/81 - 11/15/81 $ 4,646.51 <br />7. Liquor Payroll 11/1/81 - 11/15/81 $ 2,427.12 <br />8. Planning Commission Minutes of November 2, 1981 <br />9. Liquor Store Financial Report, October, 1981 <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the MINUTES OF <br />Minutes of the Special Meeting of November 4, 1981 be approved as 11/4/81 <br />presented. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVED <br />Councilmember Steele arrives. COUNCILMEMBER <br />STEELE ARRIVE <br />Attorney Allen presented the proposed Lauderdale-Falcon Heights <br />Ambulance and Rescue Service Contract for Council's consideration. LAUDERDALE <br />He explained that Lauderdale had approved the contract and that AMBULANCE & <br />he would recommend that Falcon Heights also grant approval. RESCUE CON- <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the TRACT <br />contract be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVED <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the L & L BUILDEFS <br />Clerk Administrator be authorized to contract with L and L Builders TO RE-ROOF <br />to re-roof the Municipal Liquor Store at a cost of $2,496.00. LIQUOR STORE <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Brown presented an application from Dennis G. LeMay DENNIS LE <br />for the position of volunteer firefighter and indicated that the APPROVED <br />Fire Department had approved the application. Councilmember Brown FIREFIGHT <br />moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that Dennis G. LeMay be approved <br />as a firefighter subject to the physical and one year probation period, <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Larson presented applications for the position of Rink RYNK <br />Attendant for the Community Park for the 1981-1982 season.
