MINUTES SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING ~~ NOVEMBER 19, 1981 1 A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, and Larson. Also present PRESENT were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Allen and Engineer Lemberg. Councilmember Eggert. Councilmember Steele arrived later. ABSENT The only item of new business added to the agenda was the proposed NEW BUSINESS "no parking" signs on Fairview Avenue. ADDED TO AGENDA Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. CONSENT AGEN~~ APPROVED 1. Liquor Store Financial Report, October, 1981 Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the MINUTES OF Minutes of the Special Meeting of November 4, 1981 be approved as 11/4/81 presented. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVED Councilmember Steele arrives. COUNCILMEMBER STEELE ARRIVE Attorney Allen presented the proposed Lauderdale-Falcon Heights Ambulance and Rescue Service Contract for Council's consideration. LAUDERDALE He explained that Lauderdale had approved the contract and that AMBULANCE & he would recommend that Falcon Heights also grant approval. RESCUE CON- Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the TRACT contract be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVED Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the L & L BUILDEFS Clerk Administrator be authorized to contract with L and L Builders TO RE-ROOF to re-roof the Municipal Liquor Store at a cost of $2,496.00. LIQUOR STORE Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Brown presented an application from Dennis G. LeMay DENNIS LE for the position of volunteer firefighter and indicated that the APPROVED Fire Department had approved the application. Councilmember Brown FIREFIGHT moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that Dennis G. LeMay be approved as a firefighter subject to the physical and one year probation period, Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Larson presented applications for the position of Rink RYNK Attendant for the Community Park for the 1981-1982 season.
