James Company of MN, Inc. in the LITY TO BE <br />amount of $3,871. Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Council- RENEWED WITH <br />member Brown, that authorization be granted. Motion carried unanimously. FRID JAMES CO. <br />Attorney Swanson explained that the 1981 laws will provide for licensing RESOLUTION <br />pickup trucks as passenger vehicles, thus making it difficult to enforce 79-27 - NO <br />the "No Truck Parking" on Arona north of Larpenteur, which was meant to TRUCK PARKING <br />include pickups. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember ON ARONA - <br />Eggert, that Attorney Swanson be authrozied to re-write Resolution 79-27 TO BE RE- <br />governing "No Truck Parking" on Arona. Motion carried unanimously. WRITTEN <br />Mayor Warkentien informed Council that there are vacancies on the <br />Trasportation Advisory Board and the AMM Board is soliciting <br />recommendations for the vacancies. Bince Mayor. Warkentien indicated <br />he would be willing to serve, Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by <br />Councilmember Steele, that Mayor Warkentien be recommended to fill <br />one of the vacancies. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor tarkentien read a memorandum from the Association of Metro- <br />politan Municipalities regarding Metropolitan Council's plans to <br />develop a Surface Water Management Division to deal with problems <br />caused by snowmelt and storm water runoff. The AMM stressed the <br />fact that the plan would have serious implications for Metropolitan <br />cities and recommended that communities review the plan carefully <br />and take action if concern is felt. After a discussion Councilmember <br />Eggert moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the Clerk Admini- <br />strator be directed to draft a letter to Metro Council, with a copy <br />to the City's Metro Council Representative, indicating strong oppo- <br />sition to the plan. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the <br />Clerk Administrator be authorized to send flowers to Attorney Allen, <br />who is hospitialized.
