MINUTES ~ ,~, <br />KI;GULAh CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 12, 1982 <br />PAGE 4 <br />Due to the fact that the times st~pul~ited for Sunday liquor sales is <br />established by ordinance the change rrquired amending Ordinance ~i137. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, sccondc:d by Councilmember Ciernia, that <br />Ordinance ~~189 be adopted and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized <br />to publish the same. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE 1189 ORDINANCE <br />~~ 189 <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE SALE AND CON- <br />SUMPTION OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR IN CERTAIN <br />ESTABLISHMENTS ON SUNDAYS, AMENDING ORDTNANCE <br />~~137 <br />Councilmember Ciernia presented for Council's consideration his most STATE FAIR <br />recently drafted letter to the State Fairgrounds, the letter dealing LETTER RE: <br />primarily with the possibility of storing the "no parking" signs which "NO PARKING" <br />are used during Fair time. Council approved the letter for mailing. SIGNS <br />Mayor Warkentien informed that he had written a letter to District SCHOOL PLAY- <br />Superintendent Nielsen regarding the City's use of the Falcon Heights GROUND UP- <br />School Playground and equipment but has not, as yet, received a reply. DATE <br />Mayor Warkentien indicated he did feel sure the City will have use of <br />the playground. <br />Councilmember Chestovich informed that Falcon Heights School has a CITY TO BUY <br />surplus of ski caps left over and since the school will be closing in CAPS FROM <br />June they have no need for them. It was suggested to Councilmember SCHOOL <br />Chestovich that the City buy the caps (since they are knitted with <br />"Falcon Heights" on them) at a price. of $5.00 each for approximately <br />50 caps. Following a discussion Councilmember Chestovich moved, <br />seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the City purchase the caps at <br />a price of $5.00 each to be given as prizes or for re-sale, the money <br />for the purchase to be. taken from the Contingency Fund.. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Eggert, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following voted <br />against the same: Councilmember Larson. Motion carried. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 9:40 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />,~~' .j' <br />Willis C.
