~.NV <br /> <br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1982 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Mayor Warkentien opened the Public Hearing on the Proposed Use of PUBLIC <br />Revenue Sharing Funds at 8:00 P.M. He explained that the Revenue HEARING ON <br />Sharing Funds must be designated to a definite project and that the REVENUE <br />recommended use is for policing as has been done in the past. Since SHARING <br />no one desired to be heard, Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Council- <br />member Larson, that the Revenue Sharing funds in the amount of $21,873 <br />be applied to the cost of the policing contract. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. The Public Hearing was closed at 8:05 P.M. <br />Council discussed at length Ordinance #191 relating to the administration CLERK ADMIN. <br />of the Zoning Ordinance and the establishing of fees. Clerk Administrator TO PREPARE <br />Barnes inquired as to whether or not Ordinance #69 should be amended as PROPOSED FEES' <br />it establishes X50,00 for platting and could not be changed by r eso- FOR ORDINANCE <br />lution as Ordinance #191 provides for Zoning Ordinance #6l~. Following #191 <br />the discussion, Council directed the Clerk Administrator to prepare <br />Suggested fees relating to zoning matters to be considered at the next <br />Council meetings. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the ORDINANCE #191 <br />adoption of Ordinance #191 be rescinded and that the Attorney be directed TO BE RE- <br />to re-write the ordinance amending both Ordinance #64 and #69. Motion WRITTEN <br />carried unanimously. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Chestovich, Ciernia <br />and Larson, and the following voted against the same: None. Council- <br />member Eggert abstained. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes explained that the University of Minnesota U OF M REQUEST <br />had requested the City assign liquidated damages in the amount of X500.00 FOR LIQUID- <br />per day to the University in the event the Gortner storm sewer is not ATED DAMAGES <br />completed by the date required by the University. Council reviewed the ON STORM <br />matter after which Mayor Warkentien.. moved, seconded by Councilmember SEWER <br />Chestovich, that the matter be tabled until the meeting of September 22, DEFERRED <br />1982. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor l~arkentien called to order the Public Hearing on Assessment of PUBLIC HEARINC <br />Delinquent Sanitary Sewer Charges at 8:30 P.M. There being no one ON DELINQUENT <br />wishing to be heard, Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Council- SEWER <br />member Larson, that Resolution 82-39 be adopted. Motion carried unani- CHARGES <br />mously. The Public Hearing was closed at 8 a~3 P.M. <br />RESOLUTION 82-39 RESOLUTION <br />82-39 <br />A RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR DELINQUENT <br />SANITARY SEWER RENTAL CHARGES <br />[i <br />Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that <br />Resolution 82-l~0 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
