~.~ <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 1982 <br />PAGE 6 <br />Power with respect to obtaining a street light at the corner of Prior <br />and Larpenteur. Upon a vote being t aken, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Chestovich, Ciernia and <br />Eggert, and the following voted against the same: Councilmember Larson. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that REQUEST FOR <br />the Clerk Administrator be authorized to request that Ramsey County COUNTY TO <br />consider a semaphore at Prior and Larpenteur due to the fact that the INSTALL <br />Fire Department is there and not on the basis of traffic counts. SENLAPHORE AT <br />Motion carried unanimously. PRIOR & <br />LARPENTEUR <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the SIREN <br />meeting be adjourned. Councilmember Larson felt the siren discussion DISCUSSION <br />had not been completed and requested that the discussion be continued. RE-OPENED <br />Councilmember Eggert withdrew his second in order that the siren matter <br />might be continued. Mayor Warkentien then withdrew his motion to <br />adjourn. <br />Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that <br />the Clerk Administrator be directed to investigate the availability of <br />any funds through the County or any other funding source which might <br />help with the purchase and installation of a Civil Defense siren, and <br />that the City of Lauderdale be approached to determine whether or not <br />they are interested in participating in this project. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that partial PARTIAL <br />payment #6 in the amount of X277,615.63 be paid to Westland Construction PAYMENT TO <br />Company for the City Hall construction. Motion carried unanimously. WESTLUND <br />CONSTRUCTION <br />Mayor 1~'arkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the <br />meeting be adjourned at 10:00 P.M. Motion c 'ed unanimously.
