Towa (who was in attendance) STOP SIGNS to assess the need of stop signs in the Northome area. Items such as APPROVED school bus stops, alley uses, commercial uses, vehicle rates and other items were discussed. Pros and cons trrere considered for each intersect- ion to arrive at reasonable recommendations to accomplish the traffic control that is needed for the area but not cause hardships to the residents of the area. Following a discussion regarding the suggested placements, Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, that the signs be placed as recommended by Engineer Lemberg and that speed bombs be installed in the northfsouth alley between Hoyt and Iowa. ~~gotion carried unanimously. Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, DOUGLAS LEPdAY that the appointment of Fire Fighter Douglas G. Lel~ay, 1159 Autumn, APPROVED AS Roseville, ?~dN, be approved subject to the required physical and one FIREFIGHTER year probation. ~~4otion carried unanimously. Engineer Lemberg reviewed his recommendations for the future Snelling CITY'S RECOM- Avenue upgrading. After a discussion concerning Council's desires on ~IF:NDATION ON the construction, Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by ~,~a.yor SNELLING AVE. Councilmember Ciernia moved, seconded by Mayor '+'aarkentien, that the RINK ATTEND- following persons be hired for the rinks at the City park: Greg ANTS & Spencer, Supervisor, <3.95 per hour, Christopher Anderson, Jeff SUPERVISOR Pollard, John Jernberg and Kirk Phillips as Attendants at a rate HIRED of X3.60 per hour. r~2otion carried unanimously. b4ayor V'sarkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert, that the LIQUOR STORE Liquor Store employee salaries be increased seven percent for salaried SALARY employees and x.25 per hour for part-time employees. The increased INCREASES salaries are as follows: Al Rolek, X17,976, John Sosniecki, X20,372, Robert Anderson, 1l~,380, George Barbos X5.00 per hour, Delrose Ewan, ~It.50 per hour and Paul Benoit, X3.75 per hour.
