<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 26, 1983 <br />PAGE 6 <br />RESOLUTION 83-5Q RESOLUTION <br />83~ <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINAL 1980-1981 GRANT <br />FUNDS FOR LOCAL PLI~NNING FROM THE METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL <br />Council discussed a request from V~~estlund Construction for partial PARTIAL <br />payment in the amount of $15,199.00. Clerk Administrator Barnes PAYMENT TO <br />explained that X2,000 is being held back plus there is a one year ~YESTLUND <br />performance bond which would cover any incomnleted work. Council CONSTRUCTION <br />concurred that since the folding doors in the Council chambers are <br />not complete and that could be an a xpensive item, that the cost of <br />the door project be deducted from the X15,199.00. Acting Mayor <br />Larson moved, seconded by Council Ciernia that partial pay- <br />ment be made with the cost of the folding doors being withheld <br />from the requested amount. Motion carried. unanimously. <br />Councilmember Chestovich informed that since the January 5, COUNCIL NO <br />1983 meeting at which time Council recommended the Court excuse LONGER TO <br />two parking fines, others are now requesting that fines be ex- RECOMMEND <br />cused and that, perhaps, it is unwise for Council to interfere DISMISSAL <br />in these matters, Council discussed the matter and concurred that OF CITATIONS <br />once citations are issued, the matter is under the jurisdiction of <br />the courts and Council should not interfere. Council ti~ent on record <br />that in the future there will be no attempt to interfere with the <br />courts on any citations. <br />Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, ADJOURNMENT <br />that the meeting be adjourned at 10:50 P.M.
