<br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 13, 1983 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson and Chestovich. P~~T <br />Councilmembers Eggert and Ciernia. ABSENT <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the CONSENT <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Building Inspectors Report for May and June, 1983 <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that MINUTES OF <br />the Minutes of June 22, 1983, be approved as presented. Motion carried 6/22/83 <br />unanimously. APPROVID <br />Thomas G. McClintick, 1!117 W. Idaho, presented a variance request to VARIANCE <br />build an addition to his home which would be 27 feet above grade. APPROVED <br />Councilmeonber Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, THOMAS G. <br />that the variance be granted as recommended by the Planning Commission MC CLINTICK, <br />at their July 1l, 1983 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 1.I~17 W. IDAHO <br />The variance request frown Tom Ma~erus, 1.t~27 W. Idaho, to locate a <br />garage one foot from the property line on the east and on the lot <br />line on the a12ey side was tabled by the Planning Commission on <br />July 11th because Mr. Ma~erus was not in attendance. Council- <br />member Larson recommended that Council table the request unt3.l a <br />recommendation is received from the Planning Commission. <br />TOM MAJ~tUS, <br />1112 7 w. IDAHO <br />VARIANCE <br />TABLED <br />George Croft, 1700 St. Marys, requested a variance to widen his drive- VARIANCE <br />way four feet. Councilmeanber Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien APPROVED <br />that the variance be approved as recoeanended by the Planning Commission GEORGE CROFT, <br />on July 11th. Motion carried unanimously. 1700 ST. MARY: <br />Councilmember Larson explained that there were parking problems en- <br />countered during the fireworks display at the State Fair Grounds on <br />July 3rd. The Fire Department was especially concerned since persons <br />attending the fireworks parked along Prior Avenue blocking the Fire <br />Department doors. The Department requested assistance from the <br />Ramsey County Sheriff, but he was unable to assist because of the <br />heavy traffic. Councilmember Larson expressed concern about the same <br />problem occurring during the State Fair.
