MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING JULY 13, 1983 A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Warkentien. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Larson and Chestovich. P~~T Councilmembers Eggert and Ciernia. ABSENT Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the CONSENT Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. AGENDA APPROVED 1. Building Inspectors Report for May and June, 1983 Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that MINUTES OF the Minutes of June 22, 1983, be approved as presented. Motion carried 6/22/83 unanimously. APPROVID Thomas G. McClintick, 1!117 W. Idaho, presented a variance request to VARIANCE build an addition to his home which would be 27 feet above grade. APPROVED Councilmeonber Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, THOMAS G. that the variance be granted as recommended by the Planning Commission MC CLINTICK, at their July 1l, 1983 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. 1.I~17 W. IDAHO The variance request frown Tom Ma~erus, 1.t~27 W. Idaho, to locate a garage one foot from the property line on the east and on the lot line on the a12ey side was tabled by the Planning Commission on July 11th because Mr. Ma~erus was not in attendance. Council- member Larson recommended that Council table the request unt3.l a recommendation is received from the Planning Commission. TOM MAJ~tUS, 1112 7 w. IDAHO VARIANCE TABLED George Croft, 1700 St. Marys, requested a variance to widen his drive- VARIANCE way four feet. Councilmeanber Larson moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien APPROVED that the variance be approved as recoeanended by the Planning Commission GEORGE CROFT, on July 11th. Motion carried unanimously. 1700 ST. MARY: Councilmember Larson explained that there were parking problems en- countered during the fireworks display at the State Fair Grounds on July 3rd. The Fire Department was especially concerned since persons attending the fireworks parked along Prior Avenue blocking the Fire Department doors. The Department requested assistance from the Ramsey County Sheriff, but he was unable to assist because of the heavy traffic. Councilmember Larson expressed concern about the same problem occurring during the State Fair. She requested that some PARKING PROBLEMS ON JULY 3RD DiktING FIRE- WORKS DISPLAY AT FAIRGROUNA
