• MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 13, 1983 <br />PAGE 3 <br />Engineer Sahunicht reviewed the change order for Austin J. Keller CHANGE ORDERS <br />Construction on the construction of the ponds for Falcon Woods No. ON PONDING <br />3 and ad3acent parcels. The change order will reduce the size of FOR FALCON <br />the pond as Hewlett Packard has not as yet purchased the Hermes WOODS 3 <br />property and the ponding will be constructed to serve Good Value APPROVED <br />Homes and the Hawkins property only. These changes will delete <br />$10,177.50 from the contract. Councilmember Larson moved, seconded <br />by Councilmember Chestovich, to approve the change order as presented. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that <br />Resolution 83-21 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 83-21 RESOLUTION <br />83-21 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT OF <br />$15,2112.811 TO ASHHACH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />FOR THE ALHERT/PASCAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that <br />Resolution 83-22 be adopted, Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION 83-22 RESOLUTION <br />83-22 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY <br />LAYOUTS FOR THE TRANSITWAY INTERCONNECTING <br />THE ST. PAUL CAMPUS OF THE UNI9ERSITY OF <br />MINNESOTA WITH THE MINNEAPOLIS CAMPUS <br />REQUEST TO <br />Philip Raup, 1572 Fulham, Aloysius Quebbeanann, 1561 Fulham and Fatricia PARK ON <br />Ferrari, 1576 Fulham, had submitted a request that they be allowed to DURING DRIVE- <br />park on the street while their driveways are under construction. Follow- WAY CONSTRUCT <br />ing a discussion, Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmeanber Larson,ION APPROVED <br />that the request be approved. Motion carried unanimously. 1572, 15611 & <br />1576 FvLHa: <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a letter dated June 2q, 1983 from James W. <br />Maenner, Trust Real Estate Officer, First Bank of Minneapolis (represent- $3,000 PARK <br />ing the Charles Hawkins Estate) offering payment of cash in the amount of DEDICATION <br />$3,000 in lieu of land park dedication on the remainder of the Hawkins TO BE PAID <br />property. Councilme~nber Larson moved, seconded b y Mayor Warkentien, BY HAWKINS <br />that the $3,000 be accepted. Motion carried unanimously. ESTATE <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes explained that the Dennis LeMay unemployment ~~~ ON <br />compensation matter is being appealed. LEMAY UN- <br /> Ed~lPLOYMENT <br /> COMP. <br />A note from Deputy Vandeberg regarding the July 3rd fireworks display <br />at the Fairgrounds was noted. The Deputy had requested assistance from JULY 3RD <br />the City of St. Paul and no one responded even though the event was FIREWORKS- <br />sponsored by the St. Paul Parks and Recreation Departanent. Council LETTER FROM <br />felt St. Paul should be required to provide assistance in these DEPUTY <br />circumstances. ~ VANDEB~.G <br /> NOTED <br />
