MINUTES <br />REGULAR. CITY COtTNCII, MEETING <br />JULY 27, 1983 <br />PAGE 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Cauncilmember Ciernia reported on a meeting at the City of Wayzata, <br />which he and Clerk Administrator Barnes attended. The purpose was <br />to view Wayzata~s use of an Apple Computer in City functions. The <br />software is public domain and the updating and maintenance is being <br />done by Minnesota Education Computing Consortium. Councilme:nber <br />Ciernia will contact MECC and inquire how cities will be able to <br />use the service. <br />~:° 3 <br />MEETING WITH <br />WAYZATA TO <br />VIEW APPLE <br />COMPUTER <br />Councilmember Ciernia advised that the Planning Commission workshop ZONING <br />date has been changed to Monday, August 1, due to the family emergency ORDINANCE <br />of Planner Carl Dale. A council Workshop, Planning Commission Public UPDA~ <br />Hearing and Council Public Hearing must be held in the future regarding <br />the proposed new zoning ordinance. <br />Council revi~,red the quotation on dishes for the rental hall, 1Li.l~ QUOTES ON <br />place settings for $1,599.60 and 11tt place settings of silverware DISHES & <br />for $432.96. Councilmember Larson felt that as Par as health standards FLATWARE FOR <br />are concerned, a dishwasher would be needed and suggested a price be RENTAL HALL <br />obtained for purchase of a dishwasher. <br />Council briefly discussed the proposed resolution for rezoning the <br />remainder of the Hawkins Property. <br />Councilmember Chestovich moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that <br />Pat Duncan, 1753 Albert, be permitted to barricade Albert (1700-1800 <br />block) for a block party on August 10, 1983 from 5:30 to 9s00 P.M. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Gouncilme:nber Larson, that <br />Resolution 83-27 be approved.
