ELECTION APPROVED Mayor Warke~ntien presented a request from Ben Kuefler, a member of REQUEST THAT Como Park Lutheran Church, requesting that Albert Street be posted ALBERT ST. "No Parking F.4ccept Sundays" instead of "No Parking Anytime" due to BE POSTED fact that the church needs additional parking. Following a discussion "NO PARKING regarding the narrow width of the street and the fact that it is a EXCEPT I~nnesota State Aid Street and "No Parking Anytime" is requested by SUNDAY" the State, Councilmember Cheatovich moved, seconded by Councilmember DENIED Eggert, that the request be de~ni.ed. Motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Ciernia asked what obligation The City has to provide afresh water supply to its residents and Attorney Van de North replied that the City has no obligation if the wells fail from natural causes and old age. After further discussion, Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmeanber Eggert, that a letter be drafted by the Engineer and mailed to the residents affected, requesting written input from those residents. Motion carried unani- mously. PARTIAL PAY- Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilme¢nber Eggert, approval of MENT TO partial payment for base, curb and gutter to Austin Keller Construction AUSTIN Company in the amount of $59,360.51. Motion carried unanimously. KELLER APPROVED Attorney Van de North reviewed his researching of OSHA regulations regarding safety measures in the Fire Department Bose Tower and HOSE TOWER has concluded that OSHA regulations do not require a cage and the SAFETY City insurance carrier cannot require it in order to assure that the MEASURES insurance coverage could be in effect. UPDATE Councilmeinber Larson informed Council that Fire Chief Renchin is FIRE CHIEF' concerned regarding the parking at Falcon Heights Schaol. He has CONCERNS observed cars blocking the west door which leads to the boiler room REGARDING and parked in front of the school in the Fire Lane which is painted FIRE LANES yellow. Council recommended that Chief Renchin contact Jim Klassen AT FALCON Director of Community Services, regarding placeanent of "Fire Lame" HEIGHTS signs. SCHOOL
