JOxGENSEN <br />Council reviewed a request from .Ramona Jorgensen, 1436 Roselawn, for "on 1t~35 ROSELAwN <br />street" parking privileges during snow emergencies since a nurse is required xEQUEST FOR <br />to administer kidney dialysis three dayb per week and there is not sufficient-'ON S7~tE1+;Tn <br />"off street" parking. Council discussed alternatives after which Council- PAxKING yURING <br />member Ciernia volunteered to meet with the Jorgensens to work out a viable SNOW EMEttG~;N- <br />solution to where the nurse may paxk.during the winter months. CI~;S <br />Engineer Schunicht presented for Council's review a letter which he <br />proposed mailing to the Snelling Avenue residents affected by the possible <br />construction of a water main. Council noted and approved the letter. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that James Duchaine, 1722 <br />Pascal, pled guilty to the Zoning Ordinance violation charge and was <br />fined $500 and 20 days in jail with ttie jail term and $100 being <br />suspended with the stipulation that there will be no further offenses. <br />Mr. Duchaine will only be allowed to do minor maintenance on vehicles <br />which he owns (oil changes, filters, hoses, tune-ups, tire changing, <br />etc.) The Prosecuting "ttorney will inform the residents who signed <br />the original petition. <br />Attorney Gasteazoro reviewed the newly drafted ordinance pertaining <br />to licensing of sewer cleaning firms. After a review and discussion <br />by Council, Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Ciernia, <br />that Ordinance #202 be adopted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 202 <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE LICENSING OF DxAIN <br />OR SEWER CONNr'~t:TION CLEANERS ANll AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />N0. 1,56, PxOVIDING FOx A LICENSING FEE FOx SUCH <br />PERSONS <br />Councilmember Eggert stated he felt that Ramsey County had not done a <br />good snow plowing job so far this year.
