MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING 3 <br />FEBRUARY 8, 1978 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was <br />called to order by Acting Mayor Black at 7:30 p.m. <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmembers McGough, Steele and PRESENT <br />Brown. Also present were Clerk Administrator Barnes, <br />Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. <br />Mayor Warkentien ABSENT <br />concerning the metro area. <br />Mr. Todd Lefko, representative of the Metropolitan Council TODD LEFKO <br />presented a check to the City of Falcon Heights for Local METRO COUNCIL <br />Planning Assistance in the amount of $2,724.00. Mr. Lefko <br />discussed the activities of the Metro Council in the past <br />few months. He also brought up to date legislative action <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes presented for approval the job <br />application of Charles Dailey, for assistant in the main- <br />tenance department starting February 1, 1978, with a <br />starting salary of $775.00 per month., with health insurance <br />benefits after a three month probation period. Council- <br />person Brown moved, seconded by Acting Mayor Black to <br />approve Charles Dailey as assistant maintenance man and <br />set the starting salary at $775.00 per month. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "aye": Acting Mayor Black <br />Councilmembers McGough, Steele and Brown the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien, <br />absent. <br />CHARLES DAILEY <br />JOB APPLICANT <br />HUMAN RIGHTS <br />APPOINTMENT <br />appointment. Acting Mayor Black moved, seconded by <br />Councilperson Brown to approve the appointment of Gisela " <br />Harden as requested by Mayor Warkentien to the Human Rights <br />Commission which term expires 12/31/79. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Acting Mayor Black, Council- <br />members McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported that Mayor Warkentien <br />had a request from Gisela Harden, 1777 N. Simpson ex- <br />pressing an interest in serving on the Human Rights <br />Commissionto fill the vacancy left by the resignation of <br />Mr. Andy Holdorf and requested council to approve her <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes requested authorization to CHECK <br />cancel check #10981 of January 11, 1978 to Paul J. Breher CANCELLATION <br />Ins. Agency and authorize replacement check #11023 as a <br />duplicate payment had been made. Councilman McGough <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to authorize Clerk "~ <br />Administrator Barnes to cancel check #10981 of Jan. 11, 1978~~~GG~.,~' <br />to Paul J. Breher Ins. Agency. Upon a vote being taken the ~~~-.~ <br />following voted "aye": Acting Mayor Black, Councilmembers <br />McGough, Steele and Brown the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien absent. <br />
