Page 3 MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 8, 1978 n ~~ Mr. Mike Yellen, Yellen 8 Assoc. reported on the Dec. 1977 and Year End Liquor Financial Reports for the City of Falcon Heights. Council discussed the reason for having depreciation taken on these reports. Mr. Yellan will discuss with George Hansen 8 Assoc., auditors for the City about removal of the depreciation as shown in the report. Mr. Mike Yellen, Yellen & Assoc. presented a proposal for the City to transfer their liquor accounts into computer accounting. Mr. Yellen explained to council this would give a more detailed report of the monthly liquor reports and year end reports. The initial cost for set up would be $150.00, after set up, they would be able to provide a balance sheet and monthly report at a monthly cost of $250.00 increasing the annual cost by $600.00. Mayor Warkentien moved acceptance of computerization of the Liquor Store financial reports, seconded by Councilman Black. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black and Councilperson Brown the following voted "nay": Council- members McGough and Steele. Motion carried. Mr. John Labalestra, 1433 W. California Avenue, appeared before council representing Mrs. Frances Labalestra regarding division of property described as Labalestra Park, Block 1, Lots 13 and 14. They wish to divide Lots 13 and 14 into five lots to be sold individually. Council advised Mr. Labalestra to contact the City Atty. as to the requirements of sub-dividing and then submit his request to council. MIKE YELLEN YEAR END REPORT AND DEC. 1977 LIQUOR REPORT COMPUTER SERVICE - YELLEN & ASSOC. JOHN LABALESTRA LAND SUB- DIVISION - LABALESTRA PARK Mr. John Labalestra reported on the Environmental Impact JOB CORPS Statement for the Job Corps center. The council discussed RESOLUTION the proposal and action being taken. Councilman McGough 78-10 moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to adopt the following resolution in support of the envirnmental impact statement. RESOLUTION 78-10 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Falcon Heights City Council supports the Como- Falcon Community Coaliti.on`s request that an Environmental Impact Statement be com- pleted before any additional action is taken at the Bethel College Site. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
