Page 3 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 8, 1978 <br />n <br />~~ <br />Mr. Mike Yellen, Yellen 8 Assoc. reported on the Dec. 1977 <br />and Year End Liquor Financial Reports for the City of <br />Falcon Heights. Council discussed the reason for having <br />depreciation taken on these reports. Mr. Yellan will <br />discuss with George Hansen 8 Assoc., auditors for the <br />City about removal of the depreciation as shown in the <br />report. <br />Mr. Mike Yellen, Yellen & Assoc. presented a proposal for <br />the City to transfer their liquor accounts into computer <br />accounting. Mr. Yellen explained to council this would <br />give a more detailed report of the monthly liquor reports <br />and year end reports. The initial cost for set up would <br />be $150.00, after set up, they would be able to provide <br />a balance sheet and monthly report at a monthly cost of <br />$250.00 increasing the annual cost by $600.00. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved acceptance of computerization <br />of the Liquor Store financial reports, seconded by <br />Councilman Black. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black and <br />Councilperson Brown the following voted "nay": Council- <br />members McGough and Steele. Motion carried. <br />Mr. John Labalestra, 1433 W. California Avenue, appeared <br />before council representing Mrs. Frances Labalestra <br />regarding division of property described as Labalestra <br />Park, Block 1, Lots 13 and 14. They wish to divide <br />Lots 13 and 14 into five lots to be sold individually. <br />Council advised Mr. Labalestra to contact the City Atty. <br />as to the requirements of sub-dividing and then submit <br />his request to council. <br />MIKE YELLEN <br />YEAR END <br />REPORT AND <br />DEC. 1977 <br />LIQUOR REPORT <br />COMPUTER <br />SERVICE - <br />YELLEN & ASSOC. <br />JOHN LABALESTRA <br />LAND SUB- <br />DIVISION - <br />LABALESTRA PARK <br />Mr. John Labalestra reported on the Environmental Impact JOB CORPS <br />Statement for the Job Corps center. The council discussed RESOLUTION <br />the proposal and action being taken. Councilman McGough 78-10 <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Steele to adopt the following <br />resolution in support of the envirnmental impact statement. <br />RESOLUTION 78-10 <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Falcon <br />Heights City Council supports the Como- <br />Falcon Community Coaliti.on`s request that <br />an Environmental Impact Statement be com- <br />pleted before any additional action is <br />taken at the Bethel College Site. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />
