MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 12, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council <br />was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele <br />and Brown. Also present were Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes, Attorney Kenefick and Engineer Lemberg. <br />None. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman McGough <br />to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: <br />1. Fire & Rescue Reports 29 to 35 <br />2. General Disbursements in the amount of $4,308.87 <br />3. General Payroll in the amoun t of $4,140.75 <br />4. Liquor Disbursements in the amount of $22,407.01 <br />5. Liquor Payroll in the amount of $1,941.02 <br />6. Buildin g Inspectors report - Feb. & March <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and <br />Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Councilperson Brown discussed the organization of a <br />Senior Citizen Group for Falcon Heights. The main <br />problem at this time is a place to meet, there is a <br />possibility of meeting in the Falcon Heights United <br />Church of Christ as long as it is a non-profit organiza- <br />tion. Councilperson Brown reported she had attended <br />meetings of the North Suburban Senior Citizens Council <br />and was asked if she would represent Falcon Heights. <br />Councilman Steele suggested that Falcon Heights work <br />collectivly with other organizations to put together <br />a program for senior citizens. Councilman Black <br />concurred with Councilman Steele's suggestion. <br />Mayor Warkentien called to order at 8:00 p.m. the <br />public hearing for Hollywood Court Street and Alley <br />Curb & Gutter Improvement Assessment Hearing, with <br />the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown. Mayor <br />Warkentien read the legal notice of the public hearing <br />to those present. Total cost of the improvement to be <br />assessed is $31,238.86. Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />gave a run down of the costs, engineering was $4,30.1.22 <br />legal to date was $92.63, printing & publishing $117.44, <br />total being $39,238.66.
