MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 12, 1978 Page 2 Engineer Lemberg reported they had excellent co~ operation on the Hollywood Court project. Quantities used for Hollywood Court were: bituminous 210 tan estimated, actual 225 ton, concrete curb & gutter, estimated 1,305 ft, actual 1,335 ft., the excavation orginally estimated at 700 cu. yds., actual 400 cam,. yds. So all the quantities were close to the estimate and in some cases under. The alley portion was slightly .over, a couple bad spots caused removal of extra material, to make the alley last longer. The gravel base ran slightly under. Materials used came very close to the estimated quantities. Engineer Lemberg invited any questions on the completed project. Mayor Warkentien reported the council had walked the Hollywood Court project on April 3rd, 1978 and was pleased with the results: Clerk Administrator Barnes informed interested parties that the assessment could be paid within 30 days with- out an interest charge, prior to submitting the assess- ment to the County Auditors office, or they could let it run to full term as set by council at an 8o interest rate on the unpaid balance. Councilman McGough moved, seconded by Councilman Black that the assessment roll for the improvements of 1977 on Hollywood Court be adopted and that the assessment be spread over a ten year period. Upon a vote being taken the following .voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Mayor Warkentien reminded the audience the assessment could be paid within the next 30 days at City Hall, after which it will be filed at the county auditors office downtown. Mayor Warkentien thanked the people in attendance for their cooperation during the improve- ment project. Attorney Kenefick reported to the people in attendance that they do have 20 days to file notice of appeal in district court according to state statutes, if there is an objection to the amount assessed. 4 Mayor Warkentien discussed the spring clean-up dates SPRING CLEAN- for Falcon Heights residents. It was suggested that UP DATE May 6 through May 14, 1978 would be suitable. Council- man McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to approve the above dates. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye1°: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
