MEETING APRIL 12, 1978 Page 15 Councilman Steele reported on the Park Development Committee meeting and using the chalk board described the things they would like to consider being done for our parks, such as basketball backboards, volley ball courts, repair of tennis courts and nets, racquet ball court, grade the area and put in posts or railroad ties to keep cars off the boulevard. Also, they would like four more people on the committee. The next meeting is scheduled for April 25, 1978 at 7:00 p. m. Councilman Steele also brought up for discussion for the tree committee a proposal for consideration of about 20 trees for along the walkway and ponding area. 5~ PARK DEVELOP- MENT COMMITTEE Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman McGough MEETING. to extend the meeting to 11:45 p.m. Upon a vote being EXTENSION taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Councilman Steele reported the committee had come up PARK DEVELOP- with an estimated cost of $1,500 to $2,000 for the MENT COMMITTEE total project. Clerk Administrator Barnes asked council if they reecived RAMSEY COUNTY their copies from the Ramsey County League. Their LEAGUE annual meeting has been changed. Clerk Administrator Barnes reported that Wm. Garlick UNEMPLOYMENT former maintenance man had been awarded benefits for BENEFITS unemployment, based on only one incedent. He also WM. GARLICK stated he will appeal the Kelly claim. Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black ADJOURNMENT to adjourn the meeting at 11:40 p.m. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown the tollowing voted "nay": None.
