[l <br />1 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL. MEETING <br />APRIL 12, 1978 <br />Page 15 <br />Councilman Steele reported on the Park Development <br />Committee meeting and using the chalk board described <br />the things they would like to consider being done for <br />our parks, such as basketball backboards, volley ball <br />courts, repair of tennis courts and nets, racquet ball <br />court, grade the area and put in posts or railroad ties <br />to keep cars off the boulevard. Also, they would like <br />four more people on the committee. The next meeting <br />is scheduled for April 25, 1978 at 7:00 p. m. <br />Councilman Steele also brought up for discussion for <br />the tree committee a proposal for consideration of <br />about 20 trees for along the walkway and ponding area. <br />5~ <br />PARK DEVELOP- <br />MENT COMMITTEE <br />Moved by Mayor Warkentien, seconded by Councilman McGough MEETING. <br />to extend the meeting to 11:45 p.m. Upon a vote being EXTENSION <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele reported the committee had come up PARK DEVELOP- <br />with an estimated cost of $1,500 to $2,000 for the MENT COMMITTEE <br />total project. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes asked council if they reecived RAMSEY COUNTY <br />their copies from the Ramsey County League. Their LEAGUE <br />annual meeting has been changed. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported that Wm. Garlick UNEMPLOYMENT <br />former maintenance man had been awarded benefits for BENEFITS <br />unemployment, based on only one incedent. He also WM. GARLICK <br />stated he will appeal the Kelly claim. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black ADJOURNMENT <br />to adjourn the meeting at 11:40 p.m. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown the <br />tollowing voted "nay": None.
