<br />J <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 26, 1978 <br />Page 13 <br />Councilman McGough noted to council that Mr. Don <br />Behmer of Shaw Lumber was extremly generous on the <br />lumber for the City Hall sign. The City received <br />top choice lumber. Councilman McGough suggested <br />that after the sign is finished, we take a picture <br />and send to Mr. Behmer with a letter of thanks as <br />the lumber came to approx. $300 worth of choice <br />cedar. <br />Councilperson Brown reported to council on the <br />Recreation Fact Finding Committee. There are still <br />some problems with the girls softball teams getting <br />a league to play in. The committee had met with <br />the representative of Community Schools to try and <br />get a league for the girls. Since talking to Mr. <br />Ficken, Representive of Community School program, <br />Roseville has requested Lauderdale and Falcon <br />Heights to write a letter requesting to be included <br />in their softball program. There is a possibility <br />of our girls being included there. It was suggested <br />by council to write the council of Roseville rather <br />that Frank Rog to make the request. Both prospects <br />are going to be followed up to be sure our girls <br />will be in a league. <br />No action taken, deferred to May 10, 1978 <br />No action taken, deferred to May 10, 1978 <br />Councilman McGough brought out for discussion <br />Mrs. Richards, 1700 N. Fry regarding signs on Fry St. <br />No action taken, tabled to May 10, 1978 <br />Councilman Steele moved for adjournment seconded by <br />Mayor Warkentien. Upon a vote being taken, the following <br />voted "aye:" Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, <br />McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted <br />"nay": None.
