MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 24, 1978 <br />Page 4 <br />Mayor Warkentien introduced for discussion the Ramsey RAMSEY COUNTY <br />County League of Local Government's request to hold LEAGUE OF <br />their June meeting in the Falcon Heights City Hall. LOCAL GOVERN- <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Black MENT - <br />to grant the request for use of the City Hall to JUNE 21, 1978 <br />Ramsey County League of Local Government's June 21, 1978 MEETING <br />7:00 p.m. meeting. Upon a vote being taken the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, <br />McGough and Brown and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Engineer Lemberg suggested to council they authorize RAMSEY COUNTY <br />the City Engineer to meet with the Ramsey County FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Engineer and Clerk Administrator Barnes to review the JOINT AGREEMEN' <br />proposed project on Roselawn Avenue. Mayor Warkentien ROSELAWN AVE. <br />moved, seconded by Councilmember Black to authorize <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg to <br />meet with the Ramsey County Engineer. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough and Brown and the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Engineer Lemberg reported on the bid opening for seal BID OPENING <br />coating .held at 2:00 p.m., May 24, 1978 at City Hall 1978 SEAL <br />There were only two bids received, Allied Blacktop COATING <br />$32,054.00 and Batzer Construction $33,930.00. <br />Engineer Lemberg also reported that no one wants to <br />bid Falcon Heights due to problems. with residents <br />disrupting the contractors work and causing delays. <br />Engineer Lemberg recommended rejection of all bids and <br />requested a new bidding date be set at a later date. <br />Councilmember Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien <br />to reject. the current bids and set a new bidding date <br />later in June. Upon a vote being taken the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warentien, Councilmembers Black, <br />McGough and Brown and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Jean McGough appeared before council to request REQUEST TO USE <br />to use Falcon Woods Park and building for a flea FALCON WOODS <br />market type sale for the residents of Falcon Woods PARK AND <br />area. They would like to hold the sale in an open BUILDING FOR <br />area easily accessable to people. Councilmember Brown GARAGE SALE - <br />moved to grant the request, with the City receiving FLEA MARKET <br />40 of the profits to be donated to the Park Development <br />Fund. Seocnded by Mayor Warkentien. Upon a vote <br />being taken the following .voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough and Brown and the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />
