81 <br /> <br />C <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REQULAR CI'I'~' COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 24, 1978 <br />Page 5 <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes noted he would like to take LIQUOR STORE <br />a physical inventory in June, starting on a Friday night INVENTORY <br />and continue Saturday morning. Council directed Clerk <br />Administrator Barnes to schedule the physical inventory <br />for the end of June. <br />Attorney Kenefick discussed with council the request <br />of Tully Meats to distribute meat house to house. <br />Attorney Kenefick stated he had sent the ordinance <br />concerning their type of business and invited them to <br />appear before council. No action taken, representatives <br />did not appear. <br />Mayor Warkentien read the notice received from Bugle <br />Newspapers requesting a fee for the subscription they <br />provide the citizens. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded <br />by Councilmember McGough to subscribe to the Bugle in <br />the amount of $25.00. Upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Black, McGough and Brown and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />TULLY MEATS <br />DISTRIBUTORS <br />HOUSE TO HOUSE <br />BUGLE NEWS- <br />PAPER SUB- <br />SCRIPTION <br />Attorney Kenefick stated he had talked with the Attorney STATE FAIR- <br />General's office, however, they have not gotten back GROUND - <br />to him with any recommendations. No action taken. GTA PARKING <br />Council discussed Peddler License #448 issued to PEDDLERS <br />Leon Schommer, Frank Langan and John Nowicki, to sell LICENSE - <br />tropical plants at 1407 W. Larpenteur. Attorney TROPICAL PLANT <br />Kenefick noted they should be under a General Corp. SALES <br />License rather than peddler, as they are stationary <br />and not going door to door. They would have to comply <br />with the set back requirements of B-2 zoning. Council- <br />member Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to <br />grant a General Corporate License to Leon Schommer, <br />Frank Langan and John Nowicki, 1407 W. Larpenteur with <br />the expressed understanding they comply with the set <br />back requirements of B-2 zoning. Upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough and Brown and the following <br />voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported on the cankerworm CANKERWORMS <br />problem. It was advised by Dr. French that spraying <br />will not help that much. After council discussion, <br />Falcon Heights will not spray for cankerwork this <br />year. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes advised council there were TREES LEFT <br />6 Sugar Maple and 1 Honey Locust to be removed from <br />the U of M plot. For the time being, he would like to <br />plant them at the Falcon Woods Park. Request granted. <br />
