<br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 14, 1978 <br />Page 6 <br />RESOLUTION 78-16 <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the <br />City Council of the City of Falcon <br />Heights, Minnesota does hereby <br />establish the rate of assistance <br />to private property owners at 500 <br />of the cost of removal effective <br />January 1, 1978, no to exceed $100 <br />per tree, limit to five (5) trees <br />per lot per calander year. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Councilmember Black and upon a vote <br />being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmembers Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the <br />following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember <br />Steele to authorize Mayor Warkentien and Clerk Adminis- <br />trator Barnes to sign the joint Ramsey County agreement <br />for Roselawn Avneue between Snelling and .Fairview joint <br />construction. Upon a vote being taken the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, <br />McGough, Steele and Brown and the following voted "nay": <br />None. Motion carried. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes discussed the health insurance <br />proposal that was prepared showing current and proposed <br />plan for the city employees. Councilmember Black explained <br />the various plans and noted that with a small staff it is <br />difficult to get a group plan that will give adequate <br />coverage for the employee and dependants. No action <br />taken. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes brought before council a letter <br />regarding Minnesota Housing and Finance Agency, Home <br />Improvement Grant Program Phase III. The city office <br />had received a call from a resident that had called HRA <br />and was told in order to be eligible, the City of Falcon <br />Heights is required to adopt the program through council <br />action. .Councilmember Steele introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adopting. <br />RESOLUTION 78-17 <br />~~ <br />I <br />REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL HRA <br />TO APPLY FOR REHABILITATION GRANT FUNDS <br />FOR THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Councilmember Brown and upon a vote being <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Council- <br />members Black, McGough, Steele and Brown and the following <br />voted "nay": None.
