Motion carried unanimously. <br />-- 3 <br />HEALTH BOARD <br />APPOINTMENT <br />VERONICA KJEGLAND <br />1795 ~oNA <br />Mayor Warkentien submitted the following names for appointment to HUMAN RIGHTS <br />the Human Rights Commission: New appointments: Dorothy Barney, APPOINTMENTS <br />1570 Snelling Drive and Donald A. Grinner, 1718 Arona; Reappointment: <br />Marion Pocker, 1840 Pascal. <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember McGough to <br />appoint these persons for a three year term. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien submitted the following names for reappointment to <br />the Planning Commission: Harold Nilsen, 1794 Tatum, and Robert C. <br />Blomberg, 1481 W. Hoyt. <br />Cauncilme~aber Black moved, seconded by Councilmeonber Steele to <br />appoint these persons to the Planning Commission for a three year <br />term. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien opened the public hearing on Subdivision of the <br />Hermes Property in accordance with the Official Notice published in <br />the St. Paul Dispatch on Saturday, Deceanber 30, 1978, at 8:00 p.m. <br />Councilmeanber Black advised that the Planning Commission, at their <br />meeting January 8, 1979, unanimously recommended that the subdivision <br />request be approved. <br />Gordon Pollard, 1957 W. Larpenteur, appeared before council advising <br />he was concerned about drainage from the proposed HewlettPackard <br />building and requested more information. <br />Engineer Lemberg advised that the proposed hard surfaced area will <br />be approximately 180,000 square feet, or approximately 10~ more <br />than the present hard surfaced area of 150,000 square feet. It has <br />been requested that Hewlett-Packard provide for some ponding within <br />their area and also some storm water retension on the roof of the <br />building to prevent the water from gushing off all at once. This <br />will assure that there will be approximately the same amount of run- <br />off as before. <br />Mr. Pollard inquired about curbs and gutters and wanted to know if <br />the landscaping and berm were to meet with his approval. <br />Engineer Lemberg assured him there would be standard 6~ concrete <br />curb and gutters and that Resolution 78-24 provides negotiation <br />between homeowners and Hewlett Packard regarding the berm and fence. <br />Council instructed Attorney Kenefick to prepare a resolution to <br />impleanent the subdivision. <br />PLANNING <br />COMMISSION <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />HERMES PRAPERTY <br />SUBDIVISION <br />GORDON POLLARD <br />1957 w.
