Gas Installers Licenso. Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded KUMAR MECHANICAI <br />by Councilmember McGough that the application from Kumar Mechanical LICENSE #350 <br />for?a Master Gas Installer's License be approved. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Deputy Clerk Rolek presented proposed Legislative Bi11s recommended PROPOSED <br />by Clerk Administrator Barnes as follows: LEGISLATIVE <br />BILLS <br />1. HF1~l.~ - State Land Subject to Local Zoning (McEachern) <br />2. Kequested Amendment to HF36 - SF19).~ - Local Hotel Motel Sales <br />Tax by adding Amusement Tax to the Bill not to Exceed Three <br />Percent (Pehler - Rep. - Kleinbaum - Senator) <br />3. HF262 - SF1t03 - Self Insurance and Insurance Pooling (Brinkman- <br />ftepresentative - Gunderson - Senator) <br />!~. HF277 - Shade Tree Disease Control (Pleasant - Representative) <br />5. Support a bill increasing or changing the tax levy limitations. <br /> <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk Rolek explained the riew markiXag system to be used on NEW MARKING <br />diseased trees. Councilmember McGough~moved, seconded by Mayor METHOD FOR <br />Warkentien, that the information regarding the marking system be DISEASED TREES <br />ref erred to Dr. David French. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember McGough informed Council that the Lauderdale City LAUDERDALE <br />Council unanimously rejected the proposed Joint Police/Fire/ Ambulance REJECTS JOINT <br />contract. Councilme¢nber McGough was commended for his work on the POLICING <br />policing contract. CONTRACT <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to extend MEETING EXTENDEI <br />the meeting to 11:15 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. TO 11:15 P.M. <br />Engineer Lemberg reported to Council on the plans to upgrade RASelawn R,OSELAWN AVE. <br />Avenue between Fairview and Cleveland Avenues. Engineer Lemberg met IMPROVEMENTS <br />with Ramsey County Engineering and the original plans are being re- <br />vised in order that the street will not be so close to the homes. <br />Councilmeanber Brown requested any news items be submitted for the COUNCIL NEWS- <br />next Council Newsletter which will be drafted soon. LETTER <br />Councilmember Steele: moved, Seconded by Mayor Warkentien to author- SPRING DUMP <br />i2e Clerk Administrator Barnes to aet a date for the spring dump-and DATE TO BE SET <br />advise Councilmember Brown in time to have an item in the newsletter.. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien announced the Handicapped Basketball game will be HANDICAPPED <br />held April 20, 1979 at Parkview Junior High.
