MINUTES <br />,REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 28, 1979 <br />-PAGE 3 <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember B1.ack that Clerk TRANSFER OF <br />Administrator Barnes be instructed to transfer $20,000.00 from the FUNDS (cont.) <br />Municipal Liquor Fund to Sanitary Sewer Fund for repayment of`tempo- <br />rary loan. Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye"; Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmembers Black, McGough and Brown, and the follow- <br />ing voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />C1.erk Administrator Barnes presented to Council the maps and dater he COMPREHENSIVE <br />has completed for Recreation and Transportation for the Comprehensive PLAN <br />Plan. It is hoped that with some help from Metro on the hous~.ng <br />portion of the plan, that perhaps the Planning Consultant wild. not <br />have to work on this. <br />Cbuncilmember Brown reported to Council on the Recreation meeting FALCON HEIGHTS <br />w~.th Shoreview at which time Shoreview advised tYrey would allow TO PARTICIPATE <br />~'~.acon Heights to participate in their recreation program, The IN SHOREVIEW <br />FBYcon Heights Recreation Advisory Cornmittee`~ill put out a notice RECREATION <br />after their meeting of April 1r, 1979. PROGRAM <br />Couri~ilmember Brown also, reported on the meeting held With MEETING WITH <br />Representative Mike Fritz, Mayor Yu"arkentieri and Clerk Administrator REPRESENTATIVE <br />Barnes regarding the law concerning Community Services and where FRITZ REGARDING <br />Falcon Heights could fit in. Representative Fritz request~Bd that COMMUNITY SERVI( <br />hp come to a meeting with some of the school people, ie Jim Klassen <br />and Lloyd Neilson and see if some of the questions could be answered, <br />such as how can Falcon Heights plug into the Corrununity Services <br />programs. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that Coffman Street in COFFMAN STREET <br />the University Grove area was posted for a 3 ton maximum load limit, POSTED 3 TON <br />thus prohibiting MTC buses from using that pert of the route. Grove LIMIT <br />residents were concerned so notices were printed explain' the. reason <br />.for the 3 ton maximum, and they were to be distributed. by Mary Waldo <br />of the Grove Association. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilrnember Ste~1e to MINUTES OF <br />approve the Minutes of March l~, 197y as cQrrc~cted. They have not completed their door to door solici- REPORT <br />.cation for funds for purchase and planting of trees at the park. <br />~e,Committee has covered about 3/1~ of the City and has collected <br />~3?1~.0o so far. <br />C~.erk Administrator Barnes informed Cvuncil that tree Boy Scouts DUMP DATES SET' <br />have'requested to have a paper drive in conjunction with the spring <br />dump <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the <br />spring dump dates be set from clay 5 to clay 14, 1979 and that '_baves <br />and garbage be prohibited at the dump. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Steele reported to Council that he had examined the <br />parking space on Arena and felt tYiat eliminating all five of the <br />parking spaces on the East side of Arena frvm the alloy to L~rpenteur <br />
