MINUTES <br />REGULAR. CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 9, 1979 <br />Page 6 <br />has been having problems with street lights being on at,a11 times or <br />off at all times. Since the lighting system is a private system the <br />City is responsible for repairing the relay box which is not functioning <br />properly. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilmember Kurpiewski, to authorize <br />the Clerk Administrator to order repair of the relay in the University Grov© <br />street lighting system. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien read a letter of. resignation from James I. Lammers, <br />Plannir~ Commission Chairman. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by <br />Councilmembe.r McGough to accept T''Lr. Lammers resignation. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien requested Council to approve the appointment of Alan ALAN STEFANSOr <br />Stefanson, 1810 Holton, to the Planning Commission to replace Mr. Lammers. 1810 HOLTON <br />Councilmarnber McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember Steele to approve APPOINTED TO <br />the appointment of Aa_an Stei'anson to tha Planning Commission. Motion PLANNING COMM. <br />carried unanimously. <br />~~ <br />ST]~~T LIGHT- <br />ING PROBLEMS <br />IN UNIVERSITY <br />GROVE <br />JAMES CANNERS <br />PLANNING COMM. <br />RESIGNS <br />Mayor Warkentien read the resolution passed by the Ramsey County Board <br />of Commissioners recognizing the many accomplishments of Bill Black. <br />1 <br />Councilmember I~.cGou~;h moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to extend <br />the meeting to 11:1>. T~otion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Warkentien informed Council that Liquor Store Manager, George <br />Willkom, will be working only l5 hours per week,.. due to health problems <br />and that the Liquor More is advertising for another employee. The <br />matter was deferred to a later date. <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmembor McGough, that the ADJOUI~.NI~IENT. <br />meetir~ be adjourned at 11:10 p.m. <br />,. <br />/` <br />G~- <br />Willis C.
