0 <br />I + <br />i <br />u <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY <br />MAY 23, 1979 <br />Page 5 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes informed Council that Flower City, 1555 <br />W. Larpenteur, is using a part of the parking area along Larpenteur <br />as a display f-~r their merchandise. Councilmember McGough moved, <br />seconded by Councilmember Kurpiewski, that Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />be authorized to send Flower City a letter informing that they can no <br />longer display merchandise on the parking area. Motion carried un- <br />animously. <br />Clerk Administrator Barnes reported to Council that the Falcon Woods <br />Park Development Committee has directed the tree planters to plant <br />trees in Falcon Woods Park in areas which are not~in the City Plan. <br />There is concern for underground wires, etc. Council directed the <br />Clerk Administrator to write Falcon Woods Park Development Chairperson, <br />Janet Brown, advising her Committee that any revisions in the original <br />plan for park tree planting must be submitted to Council for approval <br />before planting, and also the Council would like minutes of the Committee's <br />meetings showing who voted for or against a motion. <br />~~ <br />FLOWER CITY <br />DISPLAYING <br />MERCHANDISE <br />ON PARKING <br />AREA <br />FALCON WOODS <br />PARK DEVELOP- <br />MENT DISCUSS- <br />ION <br />Councilmember Brown informed Council that Community Services has voted NORTHWEST <br />to give $4,000.00 to the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau. Mayor SUBURBAN YOUTH <br />Warkentien reported that the Youth Service Bureau is still short of funds SERVICE BUREAU <br />and may have some problems continuing their services. All Councilmembers <br />are invited to attend the special meeting of the Youth Service Bureau to <br />be held May 31, 1979. <br />Councilmember McGough moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown, that the ADJOURNMENT <br />meeting be adjourned at 10:43 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. <br />-l <br />illis C.
