Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Engineer Lemberg reported on the bid opening for Sealcoating east of RESOLUTION <br />Snelling and the Garden Avenue Improvement Project. Councilmember Steele 79-17 <br />moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien to adopt Resolution 79-17, accepting <br />the bid from Black Top Service Co, Burnsville, Mn. at a cost of $214,696.52 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 79-17 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE 1979 SEALCOATING AND GARDEN <br />AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENT (MSAP 124-105-02) <br /> <br />Engineer Lemberg informed Council that he had met with Councilmember <br />McGough and ~larold Nilsen of the Planning Commission in regard to finding <br />a way of providing storm sewer drainage for the northwest area of the City <br />other than going through the University of Minnesota to the St. Anthony <br />Storm Relief System. Councilmember McGough explained that the Comprehensive <br />Plan bein; pr.cpared by the Planning Commission required that the City show <br />a feasible way to complete the storm sewer system in~Falcon Heights. <br />`!'he possibility of bringing the drainage down Larpenteur Ave., crossing <br />just south o1. Hollywood Court, draining into the Idaho-Snelling pond, <br />and installing a lift station was discussed.
